Live vocal performances add a personal quality to weddings that playlists and speakers cannot match. Professional wedding singers near you cover a broad mix of genres, from jazz and soul standards to modern chart hits, and most will tailor their setlist to suit your celebration. Whether you need a gentle acoustic set during the ceremony or high-energy entertainment for the evening, local vocalists can adapt their style to each part of the day.
When shortlisting singers in your area, listen to audio and video samples to get a sense of their vocal style and stage presence. Check whether they provide their own PA and microphone, as this can affect the overall cost. If your venue has sound restrictions or limited power supply, confirm the performer's setup requirements before booking. Most wedding vocalists are happy to learn one or two songs for special moments, so discuss any requests early to give them preparation time.
Wedding singers in Sweden currently range from kr1,300 to kr16,500+, with kr4,500 representing the typical rate. Pricing depends on performance length, the number of sets, equipment provision and travel distance. Solo performers with backing tracks generally cost less than singers who bring a live guitarist or pianist. Booking one vocalist to cover both the ceremony and evening reception is often more cost-effective than hiring separate acts.

Roberto Akro
"Thanks to Robert's piano playing and singing with his warm voice, we have been able to offer more
luxurious Christmas dinners a couple of years in a row at our hotel. Our guests have been able to enjoy
their Christmas dinner to nostalgic love- and classic Christmas songs. We highly recommend Roberto.
You will be satisfied. Good luck.

"Seeing and listening to parents together with their children on one stage provides no comparable experience. From the youngest to the oldest for the music as well as to each other humility shines out from the stage giving us courage and a good example."

The Soulman
"We originally found The Soulman on GigHeaven and, after making contact, went to watch him perform in Fuengirola before booking. We were genuinely impressed with his singing and his taste in music during his DJ set, and were really excited to have him as part of our wedding in Málaga in early October.
We had told our family all about him, shared videos of his performances and built up the excitement around having him there. Our family were equally looking forward to seeing him perform, so we were genuinely invested in making this booking work.
Unfortunately, our experience after booking fell well below the standard we expected. Communication was slow and poor from the outset, and at times came across as unprofessional. We also received mixed messages throughout the process, which did little to inspire confidence.
Things escalated on 7th August, less than two months before our wedding, when The Soulman informed us of a serious situation involving mould affecting his equipment, which he described as critical. He sent us a photo of a mouldy boot and requested an advance payment towards storage for his equipment, despite us already having paid a €450 deposit.
What made the request even more extraordinary was that he expected us to contact and arrange payment directly with a third-party storage provider on his behalf. He forwarded their contact details and bank account information, effectively asking us to organise and pay for the storage of his own equipment. We found this an incredibly unusual request to make of a couple planning their wedding, particularly given the money we had already paid and the fact that this situation related to his own equipment and arrangements.
We had also discussed additional songs that The Soulman had agreed to learn for our wedding, but these subsequently became part of the negotiations around his request for advance payment. The mixed messages and the way the situation was communicated left us increasingly uncomfortable.
Given the seriousness of the situation as he himself described it, the uncertainty surrounding his equipment and the lack of reassurance that our booking would go ahead as planned, we lost confidence in his ability to deliver the services we had booked. With our wedding fast approaching, we felt we had no choice but to cancel and find an alternative supplier.
What followed was arguably even more disappointing. We never received any of our €450 deposit back. There was no acknowledgement of our cancellation, no meaningful attempt to resolve the situation and no discussion about negotiating terms as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, we were blocked and never heard from him again.
Thankfully, we found a fantastic replacement DJ, who also recommended an excellent singer and pianist. Both were superb and played a huge part in making our wedding day such a success. They worked brilliantly together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better combination for our day. It was a real relief to have two such talented, professional and reliable people involved, especially after the stress of the preceding weeks.
It’s a real shame things turned out this way, as we genuinely liked The Soulman’s singing and taste in music when we first saw him perform, and had every intention of having him as part of our wedding. We had been looking forward to it for months, and so had our family. Unfortunately, the communication and how the situation was handled completely changed our view.
The Soulman, I genuinely hope you spent our €450 wisely, mate."
