Aangename Gasten is a Dutch–Belgian acoustic duo formed by lifelong friends Wouter and Michiel. For more than a decade, they have been providing live music for wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate events, cultural stages and festivals. Their chemistry is unmistakable: two voices, two guitars, perfectly in tune with each other and with the atmosphere of every event they play.
With a rich blend of subtlety and energy, Aangename Gasten effortlessly move between background ambiance and engaging entertainment. Their performances are warm, intimate and always tailored to the moment — whether it calls for something gentle and emotional, or upbeat and danceable. They listen closely to the wishes of every couple, audience and organizer, ensuring that their music becomes a natural and memorable part of the celebration.
Their repertoire is wide-ranging and carefully curated, appealing to guests of all ages. Expect timeless classics and modern favourites from artists such as The Beatles, The Weeknd, Leonard Cohen, Amy Winehouse, Simon & Garfunkel, Arctic Monkeys, Jack Johnson, ABBA, Bill Withers, Coldplay, Manu Chao and many more. They also bring a touch of international charm with songs in Spanish, French and Portuguese. All performances consist of beautifully reinterpreted covers, delivered with sincerity and craftsmanship.

Warm, versatile and always professional Aangename Gasten bring music that connects people, creates atmosphere and leaves lasting memories.

The directions, places where we can park and unload and load our equipment.
We provide our own PA system but we have no lighting equipment.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We’ve played many memorable gigs, including performances at a beautiful estate in the Ardèche, several castles, and small themed weddings that were a joy to be part of. It’s difficult to choose just one best gig or venue.
We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our specialty, we love to enhance the atmosphere
We started out playing around campfires when we were young, gradually developing a strong ear for each other’s melodies and harmonies. From there, our performances naturally evolved.
We’ve been listening to a lot of Spanish and Portuguese music lately from ‘Tuyo’ by Rodrigo Amarante to ‘The Girl from Ipanema’ by Astrud Gilberto. Johnny Cash has also been a significant influence on us.
We arrive at least an hour beforehand to set up and soundcheck. Most of the time we play 3 times x 30 min with some small breaks inbetween.
We love playing outside
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 3 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
They often say it’s obvious that we have great chemistry, that we genuinely enjoy playing together, and that our voices complement each other really well.
