We are Alacalufe, a Latin American music ensemble based in Budapest, founded in 2022. We are writing with great enthusiasm to submit our artistic proposal for your festival, which we deeply admire for its cultural diversity, outdoor spirit, and celebration of world music.
Our project was born from a desire to preserve, reinterpret and share the rich folklore of Latin America through an authentic and festive musical approach. We perform a vibrant variety of traditional styles from across the continent – including Peruvian festejo, cha-cha-chá, Brazilian samba, Cuban son, bolero, Colombian cumbia, and Dominican merengue – blending original compositions with refreshed versions of beloved folkloric classics.
We believe our music is a perfect match for green, open-air spaces such as those that define the atmosphere of any event. The joyful energy of our rhythms and our deep connection with audiences ensure a truly unforgettable experience filled with dance, celebration, and cultural exchange.
We have had the honour of performing on notable stages, including the Mera World Music Festival in Romania, the Debreceni Viragkarneval in Debrecen, and a nationally televised concert on the programme Akusztik for Petőfi TV(Hungarian National Television).
Attached you will find our portfolio, featuring live performance footage, visual material and links to key performances. We would be delighted to contribute to the vibrant, multicultural spirit of your festival.
Thank you very much for considering our proposal. We remain at your disposal for any further information or details you may require.
Warm regards from Budapest

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue

We tried to do our own music preserving the Latin folklore.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area
We have our own music but we are open to do a repertoire for the client
