Yes, we do provide a full sound and lighting set up.
We also provide a technician and larger sound set up should the venue/occasion require.

Yes, we offer a DJ playlist service before, in between and after live sets.
We also offer a full DJ service where our DJ can be hired alongside our live band and mix live on the night.

For information related to your venue, including access, parking, Insurance etc. we liaise directly with the venue to save you the trouble. This includes sending them our PAT and PLI certificates.

We particularly enjoy performing at the famous Kimpton Clock Tower in Manchester.
We have be hired to provide a full Gatsby experience for their awards ceremonies for large brands and corporate clients.
Their staging and historic room is gorgeous and we love the atmosphere we create for their awards, dinners and most importantly the AFTER-PARTY!

I am a romantic so it has to be a WEDDING!
I adore watching the first dance and love to kick the evening off right after, and get the party started.

I am a professional vocalist and have been for over 15 years. I performed in the UK and abroad, as a soloist and touring various shows with bands and show teams. I then set up my live music company, producing and providing live bands to events and occasions, I also get to perform in some of them including AMJ too!

Obviously Postmodern Jukebox are a huge influence to Almost Modern Jukebox (See what we did there?) and we love taking their arrangements and making them a little more our own too. From this band, I particularly love 'IT WASN'T ME' originally by Shaggy. Played in a swing style - is incredible and it always gets the crowd dancing and amazing that the song we are playing is in fact that tune!

Every event is different and some occasions especially weddings only allow for particular arrival times and a small window to set up.
Ideally - We have 90minutes to set up and sound check, we can and have done this quicker and will always do our best to get set up as efficiently as possible.
We provide 2 x 45min sets and can provide additional sets also.

Yes, we love an al-fresco performance!
We do ask that there is a power supply near the performance area, a flat ground and either a shady spot or a canopy/gazebo style cover to protect from the sun.

Absolutely, we offer this within our fee, if the song is already one in our repertoire, which means it has been previously learned and played before. Although, some bands will charge a small amount to cover their time when learning and rehearsing a song that is not already in their repertoire.

A ‘DJ Service’ is a service you can book with most of our live bands and acts, where a pre-mixed playlist will be provided in-between live sets. You can send some song choices for us to compile, or send over complete playlists to be played through the band’s sound system. There are no song requests taken on the night, or announcements made. Your ‘DJ Services’ may be unmanned, but your party will be in full swing and all songs mix into the next automatically.

For a fully comprehensive DJ experience, you can book one of our professional, live DJ’s to come along with the band, where they will mix live on the night, take requests and make announcements.

You have confirmed your booking, your contract is signed and deposit invoice paid…

After that, you can relax for a while. We will schedule in a catch up around a month before the occasion so we can finalise timings and all details. Please get in touch at any time before that though, we are always here for you and any questions you may have.
