Bistrica Duo is an acoustic duo project that combines jazz and pop sounds, featuring a repertoire that includes well-known songs common to both traditions. The duo consists of Lorenzo Matteuzzi on vocals, an experienced concert performer and pop - rock singing student at the Conservatory of Bologna, and Niccolò Martinelli on guitar, graduated in jazz guitar from the Sienajazz Academy and a master's student at the Conservatory of Florence.
Bistrica Duo boasts extensive experience gained from numerous busking performances in the city of Siena, as well as various concerts and private events.
Thanks to a structured organizzation, Bistrica Duo provides a solid entertainment to the costumers, granting a partial personalization of the repertoire.

We need an electrical connection to let our PA system work properly, but we also provide a battery based amplification in emergency case.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
We are completely self contained regarding the PA system, on the other hand we don't provide lighting equipment.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We performed during a theatrical performance in Florence, in a Theatre called "Teatro del Romito".
We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
We started two distinct musical careers, participating in the music of other bands since we were little more than children. Over time, our passion for music evolved into the ambition of making it a career, and so we both began to study and create a professional image that would allow us to live off music. We have been friends since childhood, and we’ve always had the opportunity to exchange ideas musically, until in recent years we formed "Bistrica Duo," determined to work together.
John Mayer is for sure the artist wich gave both of us the will to learn more about music, and the song wich mostly inspired us is "Neon", from his first album "Room for Squares" .
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We always love to play outside.
We can learn specific songs before the event if the booking comes with a little bit of anticipation. We usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
Previous customers would describe us as a prepared duo, ready to any kind of challenge, capable of a very sweet, passionate and at the same time energetic approach to music.
At least one month in advance, but we'll be happy to satisfy all the requests if its possible.
Two months' notice is recommended, but we will be happy to keep in touch to make the best arrangements for the event.
