Brereton Music Classical/jazz flute & violin duo

The Brereton Duo is a classical music ensemble featuring violinist Helen Brereton and flautist Maria Brereton. Their performances combine classical favourites, light chamber music, jazz tunes, and culturally inspired works, making them a versatile choice for community concerts, special events, and festivals.

Helen Brereton is an experienced violinist and music educator with more than two decades of teaching and performance experience. Known for her expressive musicianship and dedication to music education, she has performed in a variety of chamber and cultural settings throughout Brisbane and Queensland.

Maria Brereton is a young Brisbane-based flautist who performs both as a soloist and chamber musician. She has participated in events including the Cluj International Flute Competition, where she further developed her artistic and performance skills.

Together, the duo has appeared in Brisbane cultural performances, classical concert programs, and multicultural showcases, bringing warmth, elegance, and musical variety to audiences across the community.
