A performance area of about 2m x 2m. A standard accessible power outlet by itself (nothing on the same circuit as fairy lights, urns, bain-maries etc).
I need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. I’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter or any other restrictions in the venue.
Yes, I'm completely self contained. I'll bring my own PA system to all of my gigs as well as a simple lighting rig. I also include background music for during any breaks taken and a wireless microphone for any speeches or MCs you may have.
I am NOT a DJ but yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before and between our sets. I'm happy to choose the music or let the client choose the music.
Biggest crowd I've played to would be at a football home game with a crowd of about 15,000 people. What a blast!
I've also been able to support some of Australia's favorite artists over the years too like Jon Stevens & Dragon.
While I do enjoy public pub/club shows I'm a real sucker for private events. Weddings and corporate functions are always a ton of fun. People are there to have a great time and I love getting in on that energy and fueling it with good tunes.
I started gigging playing originals music with a few different projects between 2005-2012. But from 2013 onwards I started playing covers shows and never stopped.

I normally arrive 1.5hr before the performance time to bump in and set up. A typical wedding reception has me play:
x1 40min entrée set
x1 40min dinner set
x2 50min dance music sets
These timings can change however. I am flexible and work myself around whatever schedule is planned.
I do please ask that my performance area be in a place where there is no chance of adverse weather, or liquid of any kind, damaging my equipment. Any outdoors areas must have decent flooring and shelter that is considered to be a solid structure and not a temporary gazebo (like a cheap Amazon/Bunnings quality).
