We just wanted to pass on a huge thank you to you guys for such an amazing ceilidh that you put on for us on Saturday. We had an amazing night and we were just reflecting today on how the strip the willow might have been in our top 3 moments of the wedding - we had so much fun, everyone else was having fun and that was the moment we got to look around and realise how perfectly the day had gone. And I am sure I mentioned on the night that Wallace and Gromit was such a perfect song to play during the Gay Gordon’s - that show means more to us than you would ever have known when you played it!

You guys were amazing! Thank you so much for helping make our day extra special. You made it all so easy and smooth from the beginning, and that was greatly appreciated!

It was lovely of you to do the live cover for our first dance, and everyone absolutely loved the ceilidh! We booked the Brogues Ceilidh Band for our September 2025 wedding after seeing them at a friends wedding and they were brilliant! Really easy to communicate with, more than accommodating with our timings and any special requests. They performed a count down to our cake cutting then right into Grace singing our first dance song which magical. All our guests had a brilliant time, couldn’t recommend them enough - thanks again guys!! Mark and Amie ☺️

The Perfect Soundtrack to Our Wedding – Thanks to Grace

Grace was a dream to work with — kind, talented, and completely tuned in to our vision from the very start. Her communication was excellent throughout, and she went above and beyond to provide music samples tailored to our ceremony choices, including a breathtaking Killers Medley for my walk down the aisle.

When the day arrived, Grace’s live piano and vocals elevated every moment. Her performance during the pre-ceremony and throughout was simply stunning — elegant, emotional, and beautifully paced. Walking down the aisle to her music was one of the most emotional moments of the entire day.

Guests repeatedly told us how special it felt to have live music, and how lovely Grace was. Her presence brought warmth and grace (no pun intended!) and truly helped shape the atmosphere of love and joy.

Grace, you are so talented — we honestly can’t thank you enough for creating such magical moments through your music. If you’re looking for something wonderful and heartfelt, Grace is absolutely your gal.

The Brogues provided our wedding in Largs with 5 hours of fun Ceilidh and disco dancing at a very affordable price - I don't think they could have been beaten on value.

We had friendly Grace on keyboard and sweet Alan on fiddle, and together they produced that distinct Scottish Ceilidh sound, beautifully.

They played a well-balanced mix of group and couples dances, interspersed with well needed refreshment breaks, and concluded the Ceilidh with EVERYBODY on the dance floor for the head-dizzying 'Strip the Willow'. Grace did an amazing job on the mic, explaining the various dance routines and keeping everybody right.

For many of our guests it was their first Ceilidh experience, and the Brogues certainly made it one we all will never forget. Everybody smiled and perspired heavily - a sure sign of thorough enjoyment!

Our first dance was made extra special, with Grace and Alan performing a very romantic cover of 'How Long Will I Love You' - which would honestly not have sounded better had Ellie Goulding been there to sing it herself!

The evening was then rounded off with a disco of songs, superbly mixed, from our chosen playlist.

Grace and Alan, thanks again. You were lovely and truly helped us have the best wedding possible!

My wife and I booked The Brogues for our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic! Grace was so helpful from the moment we contacted them to the moment they finished (as were the other band members). They created such an atmosphere that even people that don't normally dance couldn't help but join in. Nothing was any trouble to them and we cannot thank them all enough. We wanted to say a massive thank you for the Brogues’ amazing music and entertainment at our wedding - we had a fantastic night! We particularly loved the ceilidh but it was all so brilliant. We love them, they are an amazing band!! We first saw them live for an event at our church and decided to reach out to hire them for a 30th Birthday party and they did an amazing work, they clearly explained every song, they took their time, it never felt rushed or a hassle, they were very accommodating and overall we had a great communication with Grace. Definitely recommend them they are all lovely people, easy to get on with and I hope they continue to grow and be blessed, they do a fantastic job!

We had the Brogues band at our wedding day in September 2023. Brogues band were absolutely integral to our special day, not only was the music perfect for our setting & wedding the service and professionalism we experienced from the band was amazing! We had spoken with Grace from the band initially who had initially discussed our wedding day plans- no request was too much for the band. They completely slotted into our day and wedding as we wished! From the Ceilidh calling to the dancing itself, we could not have asked for anything more. Following the wedding we had many comments from our wedding guests complimenting how great the band were and how relaxed and well co-ordinated the Ceilidh dances were. Grace had done an excellent job of Ceilidh calling, and rounding up members of the wedding- which we appreciate can not be easy at the reception after the guests have had a few drinks! The dance floor was never empty and this was something we were so pleased about. As our venue can seem massive when the floor isn’t filled, however the band ensured that there was always ample people up boogeying away. From the moment of the first dance to our last dance of Loch Lomond, the band completely ensured the party was going and everyone had a great time. Requests were kindly taken from the dance floor too which allowed everyone to feel part of the wedding and gave every one a chance to get up and dance into the night! We cannot recommend Brogues Band enough, absolutely perfect if you’re looking for a traditional & laid back Scottish wedding- with your own stamp added! Thank you Brogues Band x

Absolutely fantastic Ceilidh band. They had a break down en route to our wedding and still somehow managed to get there and start on time and pull off a marvellous show. Very accommodating with what tunes and dances we wanted and also with what we wanted to be played later that evening. All in all absolutely delighted.

Wow, just wow. We hired the Brogues for our daughters wedding, who wasn't convinced a Ceilidh was for them. To start with Grace is a fabulous communicator, nothing was too much trouble and lots of questions were asked to make sure the evening went down with a bang. The Ceilidh was just fabulous, EVERYONE got involved, and the instructions from the band was great. They had patience of Saints, and even threw some humour in too. Our daughter and son in law LOVED it ( a bit of kudos for me) and said 'it made' the wedding evening. So, if you're considering booking them we really cannot recommend The Brogues enough. Competitively priced and simply the best entertainment we've had for years. You won't regret it!

Wow wow wow. Now that we’ve just about recovered Liam and I wanted to say massive thank you to you and the boys. You gave us the absolute night of our lives. Both of us, and so so many of our guests think you guys are the best wedding band we’ve ever seen. You were absolutely stunning in every sense of the word. We had an absolute ball at the ceilidh and every single song for the dj set was a banger. All of our friends were raving about you. The Brogues played for our reunion in Glasgow University Union. They were fantastic. Lovely people, lovely music and considerate adaption of pace to accommodate a slightly older group of dancers!

The Brogues were the absolute perfect choice for our wedding - we couldn’t have been happier with them! All the communication beforehand was clear and made us feel 100% certain that the band knew what we wanted. On the night we were running a bit behind schedule but they were so accommodating at changing our first dance plans slightly. We had them come and do an evening for us. They were incredible! They kept everyone engaged and I don't think anyone sat down they all were joining in and enjoying the ceilidh. They were also incredibly professional with communication. They were fast and efficient when I had questions they were fast to reply and they are really worth every penny! I couldn't recommend the Brogues enough if you are looking for a band for your event, they were absolutely fantastic. They played at our wedding and were the highlight of the day. I had been worried that we didn't have enough guests to make a Ceilidh 'work' (we only had 27 people), but from the moment I first got in touch with Grace she was really flexible and was able to work out exactly how to get all the guests involved and make the evening really special <3 I can't thank you all enough !

The Brogues were absolutely brilliant at our wedding at the Oran Mor last week. Couldn’t rate them highly enough and everyone has been singing their praises since. We had many English guests who haven’t ceilidh danced before and the band did such an excellent job of explaining the dances and breaking them into small chunks before building it up to the whole thing. I haven’t stopped watching and laughing at the videos of everyone’s attempts! Communication in advance was also brilliant and all members of the band so friendly. One of our best decisions for the wedding - thank you so much!

The Brogues were excellent and very accomodating to our wedding. Their sound is amazing and all the guests loved the atmosphere they helped create. From our end as organisers they were responsive and easy to work with. Can 100% recommend without any issue.

The band just came in and started getting set up with no hassle during a busy part of the evening for the wedding party, which was really helpful... The ceilidh caller was really enthusiastic and clear in his instructions (which was great for those new to the dance!)... You learned our song for our first dance, which meant a lot to us, sounded great, and set up the dancing part of the night really well!

Booked the Brogues for our wedding and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Excellent band who helped out with anything we needed - including throwing in a few slow dances for a very pregnant bridesmaid! We and all our guests had a fabulous time. If you book The Brogues you won't regret it!
