Age 8 to 14, (1963 to 1969) took classical piano lessons in Middletown, CT with Mr. McCutchen.

Age 14 to 18, self taught classic rock piano. Played organ for East Hampton High School graduation.

Age 18 to 21, had an instructor from the Berklee College of Music, Earl Pennington, for weekly jazz piano lessons while I attended Tufts University in Boston.

Age 22 to 23, played lounge piano at the Brownstone, one of the nicest restaurants in Hartford, CT.

Age 24 to 25, played piano in a jazz trio in San Diego at private parties.

Age 35, took vocal lessons with instructor in San Diego.

2000 to 2005 played keyboards and sang in a classic rock cover band in Coronado, CA. Private parties and the Island Saloon bar.

2014 played piano at the Dublin Pub in East Hampton, CT.

2015 played piano at the Rei Do Gato Brazilian Steakhouse in Downtown San Diego.

2022 played for Panama Posse sailing rally event at the Vista Mar Marina in San Carlos Panama.

2024, took vocal lessons with Berklee-trained instructor in Cambridge, MA.

2024, played keyboards and sang at the Dockside Bar in Marathon, FL.

2024 played keyboards and sang at Wendy's bar in the Dominican Republic.

2024 to 2026, performed at Coombers Craft Wines in Oceanside, CA, Deft Brewing in San Diego, 1st Street Bar and Mr. Peabody's in Encinitas, CA, Hennessey's La Jolla, Carmine's Bar & Grill East Hartford, CT, the Salida Distillery, Salida,CO, La Sirena Bar and Grill in Puerto Morelos Mexico, Fox & Goose in Sacramento, CA, Shady Coffee in Roseville, CA and Sophie's Thai Kitchen in Davis, CA.

Age 2025 to 2026, took vocal lessons from Wayne Boyer in San Diego, Mary Caruso at Leading Note Studios in Encinitas, CA, Anthony Edley at Middlesex Music Academy in Middletown, CT and James Dripps in Davis, CA.

2022 to 2026 followed Yacht Rock bands. Attended concerts by Yacht Rock Review in Boston, AM Gold in Bridgeport, CT, Yacht Lobsters in Fairfield, CT, Yachtley Crew in San Diego, Yacht Rock Review in Aspen, Colorado, Ride Captain Ride in Placerville, CA and Yachty by Nature in Laguna Nigel, CA. Also attended the San Diego Yacht Rock Festival in October 2025.

From 1982 to 1986 I owned a sailing yacht in San Diego and was listening to a lot of Yacht Rock on it. The term was coined in 2005 and refers to soft classic rock from the mid 70s to mid 80s, largely produced in LA and listened to by yuppies on their yachts in Southern California. I owned a yacht in San Diego from 1982 to 1986 was a stockbroker at the time and became a venture capitalist later in my career.
