We need a level performance area of at least 3 × 4 metres and one standard power socket nearby. A stage is not required. We travel in two or three cars, so convenient access for unloading is helpful. For outdoor events, we need shade from direct sun and a covered indoor alternative in case of rain.

Please tell us whether the event is indoors or outdoors, where we will perform, and how we can access the venue to unload our equipment. We also need to know about parking, any stairs or sound restrictions, and whether the cocktail reception and dinner take place in different areas. Moving our setup between areas takes time; alternatively, a second sound system can be arranged at an additional cost.

Yes. We bring our own sound system for one performance area, suitable for events of up to approximately 100 guests. Lighting is not included but can be arranged on request at an additional cost. If the event requires sound in two separate areas, we can discuss the setup and provide a tailored quote.

Yes. We can play a playlist through our sound system before the live performance and between sets. We normally choose elegant cocktail jazz that complements our live music, but we’re happy to discuss your preferences in advance. This service is not available after our performance.

Two nights stand out. We played a gala at the Marriott in Venice during the Festa del Redentore, with the city celebrating all around us. We also performed at the Grand Hotel in Rimini for its end-of-summer celebration. Playing the theme from Fellini’s *Amarcord* in his favourite hotel was a moment we’ll always remember.

We love the cocktail reception: there’s room to interact with guests, set the mood and let the music become part of their conversations. Then, as the evening builds, we love bringing up the energy and seeing people dance and have fun.

The Chicago Swing Quartet came together five years ago. Some of our musicians already knew each other from the conservatory, where they earned their diplomas. Our singer joined shortly afterwards, completing the five-piece lineup that has stayed together ever since. We recorded our first tracks in the studio and began performing live within a few months. Since then, we’ve played international weddings, private and corporate events, jazz clubs and theatres.

Frank Sinatra, without a doubt. His phrasing, style and unmistakable swing are at the heart of what we do. “New York, New York” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” are signatures of our show. We also love bringing Italian 1950s swing into the upbeat part of the night, with songs such as “Un bacio a mezzanotte” and “Carina”.

We normally arrive two to three hours before the performance, or before the ceremony if the event schedule requires it. Setting up and soundchecking takes around 60 to 90 minutes. For a two-hour booking, we play without a break. For a four-hour booking, we normally take two breaks of approximately 15 to 20 minutes each.

Yes, we’re happy to play outdoors. We need a level performance area, better on a covered ground, a nearby power socket, shade from direct sun and an indoor alternative ready in case of rain. We also ask for a room where the five band members can change and leave their belongings and instrument cases, plus a meal and a drink for each musician.

Absolutely. You can choose your favourites from our repertoire, or tell us the atmosphere you’d like and leave the setlist to us. We can also prepare up to three new songs chosen by you, provided they suit our swing and jazz style and we have enough notice to rehearse them.

We take time to understand the atmosphere you want and plan the music around your guests and the flow of the day. Our singer speaks English, French and German, so we can discuss the details with you in the language you’re most comfortable with.
