Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require a standard power outlet for amplification, a direct input (DI) line, or a bass amplifier on stage

What information do you require about a venue?

I need to know the stage layout, monitor and sound reinforcement setup, load-in directions, parking availability, and whether there are any strict stage volume limits or sound restrictions.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I bring my own instrument, pedals, and essential personal monitoring/cabling. I do not provide a full PA system or lighting rig, as I plug directly into the venue or artist's sound system.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I am happy to run background music via Spotify before, between, and after sets if required for the gig. I can curate a playlist that fits the vibe of the event, or you are welcome to provide your own playlist to run through the sound system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of my absolute favorite experiences was performing live with singer and artist Aziz Guerra in Valencia, Spain. We played an incredible outdoor show at Un Lago de Conciertos. Bringing those arrangements to the stage in such a beautiful, open-air setting was an unforgettable experience!

What's your favourite type of event?

. Any event that values strong musicianship and serving the song is my favorite kind to play.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I went to Berklee College of Music, where I honed my skills not just as a player, but in production and the live music business. Since then, I've built my career in Los Angeles as a freelance bassist, producer, and engineer. My gigging experience ranges from recording acoustic albums and local LA sessions to playing international stages, like performing at Un Lago de Conciertos in Valencia, Spain, with Aziz Guerra.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I am deeply influenced by artists who push the boundaries of storytelling and musical arrangement. Bruce Springsteen is a massive inspiration to me; his artistic journey and documentary storytelling really resonate with how I approach music. I'm also hugely influenced by Jacob Collier, whose boundless musicality always pushes me to think outside the box. As for the greatest song of all time, that is a tough question, but I'd have to choose [Insert your favorite song here] because of its perfect blend of groove, production, and emotion.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Since I typically work as a hired bassist for artists, bands, and studio sessions, my setup is highly efficient. I usually only need about 30 to 45 minutes to load in, set up my rig or pedalboard, and soundcheck. I am fully flexible on performance times and am happy to play whatever length your event, tour, or recording session requires.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, absolutely! Some of my favorite gigs have been outdoor shows (like playing the Un Lago de Conciertos stage in Valencia, Spain). I just ask for a safe, grounded power supply for my gear, a flat surface, and adequate cover/shade to protect my instruments from direct sunlight and weather

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

As a freelance bassist, I am completely adaptable to your needs, and the client or artist has full control over the music. I do not use a set repertoire list. Whether you need me to learn your original tracks note-for-note, read down charts for a jazz gig, or lock into a list of covers for an event, I am there to serve the song and play exactly what you need.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients and artists I work with most commonly describe my performances as reliable, deeply groove-oriented, and always tailored to serve the song. Because I also have a background in recording and production, bandleaders appreciate that I understand the full sonic picture ensuring my bass parts sit perfectly in the live mix. They know I show up prepared, locked in, and focused entirely on elevating their music.

Do you offer remote studio tracking?

Yes! I can provide high-quality, professional remote bass tracking straight from my setup in Los Angeles for your album or single.

How do you prepare for a gig with a new artist or band?

I pride myself on showing up completely prepared. Thanks to my training at Berklee, I am comfortable reading charts, following Nashville numbers, or learning your arrangements entirely by ear. Whatever the format, I will do my homework so that the first rehearsal feels like a finished show.
