Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I'm fairly flexible but I'll look to provide more specific information on my technical requirements as soon as I can.

What information do you require about a venue?

I need to know any directions that will help find the venue and find the right place to load in my equipment.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I can provide a bass and guitar amp but for Vox I'd need another amp. I have two interfaces that can double as a soundboard but aren't ideal. I also have 3 10' XLR's

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I'd be happy to play music before and between my sets and I can provide my own playlists or use any music thats provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I did a gig at Bushwick Public House with a few other acts that I felt went really well. It was my first time leading a band playing mostly original music and everyone was super helpful and it was a really inspiring experience all round.

What's your favourite type of event?

I like to play on a ticket with other acts. Its fun because you get to meet people in your community, showgoers and musicians alike. You also get to hear what your peers have been up to and study their show to see what you might wanna add to your own. Its my perfect world.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I went to The New School as a Jazz bassist after growing up in Maine playing shows with bands with the support of Maine Academy of Modern Music and Portland Conservatory of Music. At TNS I gained some great experience as both a musician working for other songwriters on their projects and as a bandleader booking my own gigs. My time in New York has made me a confident and experienced player excited to participate wherever I can in the music that I find around me.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My big three are Cage the Elephant, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime. The sounds of Alt Rock, Ska and Jazz form the foundations of my own sound.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I like to arrive at least an hour to an hour and a half before my set time to scope out the venue. I've typically played shorter sets but I'm comfortable putting together sets as long as 45 to 60 minutes.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I love playing outside but I would need shade, a flat level surface and a proper sound system to accommodate either an acoustic or electric set.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs before the event and depending on the time I have to learn them and their complexity I can do between 5 to 10 songs. I construct setlists based on the type of event so this is something I like to communicate with the client about.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous costumers would say that I like to let my music speak for itself but I enjoy crowd interaction and socializing with the audience and other artists.
