Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

If travelling with my own basic set up, all I need is a power socket. If using a pre-existing stage set up, I need a hook up to an ipad, a microphone and stand.

What information do you require about a venue?

If driving, where to park. And who I am meeting on arrival at the venue. Also whether there is a break room available.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I can provide a basic sound system set up. I do not travel with my own lighting.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

The London Palladium and the Barbican were the most impressive for sure! But performing on ships was fun too, with the travel being a perk of the job.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love singing anywhere! Christmas carolling with my vocal duo "Across The Pond" is always a fun time of year, but I enjoy performing at Charity or Corporate events, especially if there is a fun theme which we can add to with the musical act.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I worked in theatre and on ships for a long time, but since having a kid, doing 8 shows a week on a long contract is not as compatible with family life as it was before! I am enjoying the gig life as it allows me a little more work/life balance.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I love all kinds of music, but am most excited by, and experienced in singing Broadway style Musical Theatre songs. I love both comedic performances and more dramatic or emotional pieces that tell a story.

Do you have your own method of transport?

Yes, I have a car, and am willing to drive locally.

Do you have a valid passport?

Yes, I always keep it up to date.

What Citizenship do you hold/What countries can you work in without the need of a visa?

Dual Citizenship. UK and Canada.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Minimal set up. A sound check is always appreciated, so arriving at a venue earlier to accommodate this is usually necessary.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, weather and bugs permitting!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

When Singing, I usually arrive with my set list prepared ahead of time. Requests can't generally be accommodated on the night of the event. With enough time beforehand, I am happy to put the work in to accommodate a particular song or style.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers are always complimentary about my voice & performance, and I have a high re-booking rate. They have observed that I arrive prepared and organised, and that my performance is engaging, professional and to a high standard.
