Jocelyn June hails out of Hamilton, Ontario with a natural talent in music. Her sound is a Janis Joplin meets Amy Winehouse, sprinkled with Alanis Morissette, but can perform in a multitude of genres with ease. Over the years Jocelyn has studied privately in classical and jazz vocals, guitar with Gord Lewis, and piano with various private teachers. Now Jocelyn offers her own music education and guidance in guitar, piano, ukulele, songwriting and vocals.
Jocelyn June has fronted the Hamilton All Star Jr. Jazz Band, funk band ‘Skirtcheck’, classic rock band ‘The Falcons’, and ‘Black Rose’. She has grown her solo career, releasing 2 singles and now extends her work with her own band, Jocelyn June & The Bugs. Jocelyn has a vast variety of material in most genres along with her originals.
Jocelyn offers performance for special events, weddings, funerals, festivals, fundraisers and more. She can write music for artists and or vocal work for recording projects. Anything from singing telegrams to dinner time music entertainment.
