DJ Kev Williams Terms & Conditions for DJ Services (UK) Client: “You” / “the Client” / “the Venue” (as applicable) DJ: “Me” / “the DJ” / “I” 1. Booking & Deposit 1.1 A booking is confirmed only once You have accepted these Terms & Conditions and paid the agreed deposit. 1.2 The deposit is non-refundable (see cancellation terms below). 1.3 The balance must be paid in full **no later than four (4) weeks before the event date** by bank transfer, unless another method and time are agreed in writing. You must notify me when payment has been made. 2. Performance & Setup Requirements 2.1 I will provide DJ services at the event on the date and for the times agreed. 2.2 You (and the Venue) must ensure: • A standard UK mains socket (single phase 230 V) is accessible within 5 metres of the DJ setup. • A minimum space of 2.5 m × 2.5 m (or otherwise agreed) is available for equipment and safe working. • Suitable free parking close to unloading and setup. If unavailable, You are responsible for reasonable parking fees. • Any tolls, ferry, or ULEZ/low‑emission zone charges are Your responsibility. 2.3 I hold public liability insurance (PLI) of £10 million. 2.4 You (and the Venue) are responsible for any venue licences (e.g. PRS/PPL, fire risk, sound limiter, etc.). 2.5 You must ensure compliance with all health & safety obligations, and that the environment is safe for performance. 3. Right to Refuse / Cease Performance 3.1 I reserve the right to refuse to start or to stop the performance if I reasonably believe there is abusive, violent, illegal, or unsafe behaviour by You, the Venue, or guests. 3.2 If I cease performance under clause 3.1, no refund (deposit or balance) will be given. 4. Cancellation by Client If You cancel the booking, the following applies (based on the agreed Act Fee): • More than 56 days before the event: deposit forfeited, no further fee. • Up to 56 days before: 50% of the Act Fee due. • Up to 28 days before: 75% of the Act Fee due. • Up to 14 days (or less) before: 100% of the Act Fee due. 5. Cancellation by DJ 5.1 In the unlikely event I must cancel (e.g. illness or other unforeseen reason), I will use reasonable endeavours to provide a suitable replacement DJ of equivalent quality. 5.2 If no replacement is available, I will refund 100% of all monies paid by You (deposit and balance). 5.3 No refunds apply in the case of Force Majeure (see clause 6). 6. Force Majeure Events beyond reasonable control (including but not limited to war, terrorism, natural disaster, fire, flood, pandemic, government restrictions, venue closure, acts of God) are considered Force Majeure. In such cases, neither party is liable for non‑performance, and no refund (by either party) applies beyond the amounts set out in clauses 4 and 5. 7. Photography, Video & Promotion I may take photos or videos during the event for promotional use (e.g. website, social media, portfolio). 8. Client & Venue Responsibilities 8.1 You must ensure the Venue is suitable (power, access, safety, parking, permissions) and that I can perform without undue interference. 8.2 You are responsible for obtaining any required licences, permits or authorisations (e.g. music/entertainment licence, fire safety, venue insurance, sound limits). 8.3 If the venue has a sound‑limiter or other restriction, You must inform me in advance. I accept no liability for any consequences caused by the limiter. 9. Liability & Insurance 9.1 My public liability insurance (PLI) is confirmed at £10 million. 9.2 I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for equipment failure outside my reasonable control (e.g. venue power failure, guest behaviour, sound‑limiter). 10. Payment Terms 10.1 The agreed fee must be paid as outlined (deposit + balance). 10.2 If full payment is not received by the due date, I reserve the right to cancel the performance. 10.3 Payments must be made by bank transfer unless another method is agreed in writing. You must notify me when the balance is paid. 11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales (or Scotland if the event is in Scotland). Any dispute shall be subject to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts. 12. Entire Agreement These Terms & Conditions (together with any signed Booking Form or Quote) constitute the entire agreement between You and me in respect of the Services, superseding any prior communication or representation.
