Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

For venues located more than 100 km from Mossel Bay, an overnight stay will be required after the equipment has been dismantled. Accommodation may either be arranged by the client or included as an additional item in the quotation for two crew members.
One of the most memorable events in my career was the Cell C Summer Campaign Launch at the Connect Centre in Sandton, a large-scale corporate production that required precise technical execution and professionalism.
I have also mixed sound for artists such as Jo Black, Fatman, and several other well-known Afrikaans performers at Cowhouse Market in Pretoria East, and provided sound and lighting for a three-day conference at the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria.
One of my most rewarding projects was leading the complete audio, video, camera, TV, and network installation at Hartenbos NG Church, which involved system design, integration, commissioning, and training. I have also completed full sound system installations and control room setups for schools, including a major project in Lephalale.
These experiences reflect my versatility across live events, corporate productions, conferences, and permanent technical installations.
My favourite type of event is a live music concert. As both a sound engineer and a musician, I enjoy the energy of working with artists and helping create an exceptional experience for the audience. I particularly enjoy mixing live bands, where every performance is unique and requires both technical skill and creativity.
That said, I also enjoy large corporate events and conferences because they demand a high level of professionalism, precision, and reliability. The variety in my work—from concerts and festivals to corporate productions and permanent installations—is one of the things I enjoy most about the industry.
I have over seven years of professional experience in the live events and audio industry. My journey started through my passion for music as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer. While studying Sound Engineering and Multimedia Technology, I began gaining hands-on experience with live sound, which quickly developed into a full-time career.
Since then, I have worked on a wide variety of events, including concerts, festivals, corporate functions, conferences, school productions, church events, and permanent audio-visual installations. I currently serve as one of the lead sound engineers for a major event production company in South Africa, where I am responsible for delivering high-quality audio solutions for a diverse range of clients and events.
Over the years, I have expanded my expertise beyond live sound to include lighting, video, cameras, networking, system design, installations, and technical training, particularly for churches and schools.
One of the artists who has influenced me the most is . His vocal ability, stage presence, songwriting, and unique musical style set him apart from almost every other performer. I admire how he could connect with an audience while maintaining incredible vocal control and versatility.
My favourite artist is Freddie Mercury because of his distinctive voice and the lasting impact he had on music. His performances remain a benchmark for singers and performers around the world.
Choosing the greatest song of all time is difficult because music is subjective and everyone has their own favourites. However, if I had to choose one song that almost everyone knows and recognises, it would be . Its combination of rock, opera, and ballad elements was revolutionary, and decades later it remains one of the most iconic and celebrated songs ever written.
Bohemian Rhapsody
For events where we provide sound, lighting, or full production services, we typically arrive 3–4 hours before the event if setup takes place on the same day. For larger productions, festivals, conferences, or events requiring rehearsals, setup may begin 1–2 days in advance, depending on the venue, technical requirements, and access times.
For DJ-only bookings, I usually arrive at least one hour before the event starts to ensure everything is tested and ready before guests arrive.
My typical DJ performance time is between 6 and 8 hours, although this can be adjusted to suit the client's requirements and event schedule.
Yes, I am very comfortable performing at outdoor events and have extensive experience working at festivals, markets, weddings, corporate functions, and other open-air venues.
The main requirements are a reliable power source, a stable table and chair for the equipment, and adequate weather protection or shading for the mixer, laptop, and other electronic equipment. As long as these basic requirements are in place, I am happy to perform outdoors and adapt to the specific needs of the event.
Yes, absolutely. I believe every event is unique, so I work closely with my clients to tailor the music to their preferences, audience, and the overall atmosphere they want to create.
Before the event, I typically create a collaborative playlist where clients can add songs they would like to hear and identify any songs or genres they would prefer to avoid. This helps ensure the music reflects their vision while still allowing me the flexibility to read the crowd and keep the dance floor engaged throughout the event.
My goal is always to create an experience that the client and their guests will enjoy, rather than following a fixed repertoire.
Previous clients most commonly describe my work as professional, reliable, and high-quality. I take great pride in delivering a polished final product and ensuring that every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
I have consistently received excellent feedback from clients, artists, venues, and event organisers, who often commend my attention to detail, technical expertise, adaptability, and calm approach under pressure. Whether working as a DJ, sound engineer, or production technician, my goal is always to exceed expectations and create an outstanding experience for everyone involved.
