Dona Ofélia Production and musical entertainment for events: duos, trios, choir and band.

We need a performance space of at least 8 meters x 5 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 3 parking spaces.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
In case of religious weddings, we need to have approval of the repertoire beforehand, together with the bride and groom and the priests. In case of weddings in general, we need direct contact with the venue responsible and/or the wedding planner.

We’re self-contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs and the necessary material, except for lighting features.

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music according to our style/set.

All our gigs/events are special. From a small church wedding to a bar or a concert hall, we give our best dedication and passion to all of them! We are currently preparing our band for a concert in one of the most important concert venues in our region, and we're very excited for that one.

Every stage and event ends up becoming our favourite. However, a wedding is always memorable for the joy we can bring throughout that day. As rock'n'roll lovers, a good old bar gig always warms our hearts as well.

We actually started at church. Daniel and I (Joana), the founders of this project, met at a church choir 15 years ago. One day, we started a garage band, and from that time on, we've been together in different musical projects. Dona Ofélia was created to bring together our experience/background in religious/Christian environments and our passion for rock music in particular.

We love the era's music and we are very influenced by it. We have a, what we call, "music time machine playlist", where we go through hits from the 30s to the present. Our favorite artists/bands are Elvis Presley, Nina Simone, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Nancy Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, António Variações, ABBA, Ornatos Violeta, Amy Winehouse, The Black Keys, Os Quatro e Meia, etc.

We can schedule a no-obligation meeting where we explain the entire process and present our repertoire. At this point, we can even choose the music for your day with you! This meeting can be online or in person.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45-minute or 2 x 60-minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter, but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

We’re happy to play outside, but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

In case of weddings, we usually schedule a meeting with our clients in order to help them choose some songs (the bride and groom's entrance song, the ring exchange, and the final song) and to get the approval of the repertoire by the priest beforehand. Therefore, we can learn specific songs picked by our clients before the event. However, the majority of our setlist is planned by us.
