Duo Cadence is a Franco-British live music duo based in western France, built around guitar, piano and two harmonising voices, with bass and flute also featured on selected songs.
Our repertoire moves between pop, folk, blues, French songs and well-known classics, combining familiar favourites with a few less expected choices and our own arrangements.
What defines Duo Cadence most is the blend of our voices, the connection between us on stage and a warm, relaxed approach to live music. We enjoy creating a genuine connection with the audience, whether the atmosphere is intimate and laid-back or lively and upbeat.
We perform at weddings, private parties, restaurants, bars, village festivals, community events and corporate occasions, adapting our repertoire, volume and style to suit the venue and the moment.
We provide our own professional PA system, microphones and performance equipment, allowing us to offer a compact, self-contained setup suitable for a wide variety of venues.
Whether you are looking for relaxed background music, a memorable drinks reception or an entertaining live set that gets people singing along, Duo Cadence offers a versatile and friendly live-music experience with plenty of harmony, personality and good humour.

We require a safe, stable performance area of approximately 10 m², with access to a nearby 230V power supply. For outdoor performances, the performance area must be covered and protected from sun, rain and wind. We also need sufficient access time before the event for setup and soundcheck, usually around 1 hour 30 minutes.
We need the venue address, access and parking information, the location and approximate size of the performance area, and confirmation of the available power supply. Please also let us know whether the performance is indoors or outdoors, whether there are any sound restrictions or limiters, and the expected audience size where possible.
Yes. We are self-contained and provide our own PA system, microphones, stands and the equipment required for our performance. We can also provide simple stage lighting where appropriate. Our setup is compact and can be adapted to suit the venue and available space.
Yes. We can provide background music before the performance and between our live sets using a suitable playlist through our PA system. We’re happy to use our own playlist or work with music chosen by the client. This is intended as background music rather than a full DJ service.
Our ideal performance area is around 10 m², but our setup is compact and we can often adapt to smaller spaces. We provide our own PA, microphones and stage equipment.
It’s difficult to choose just one! Some of our favourite performances have been outdoor summer events and village festivals, where the audience is relaxed, people sing along and the atmosphere builds naturally as the evening goes on. We especially enjoy venues where there is a real connection between the performers, the organisers and the audience.
We particularly enjoy weddings, private celebrations, summer festivals and relaxed bar or restaurant events. We love occasions where the music can start gently, create an atmosphere and then become more lively as the evening develops. The best events for us are those where we can connect with the audience and adapt the set to the mood of the room.
Duo Cadence grew from a shared love of live music, harmony and performing songs in our own way. Between us we bring experience of guitar, piano, vocals, bass and flute, and our Franco-British backgrounds naturally give the duo a varied musical identity.
We now perform regularly at bars, restaurants, festivals, community events and private occasions across western France. During summer 2026 alone, Duo Cadence performed 22 live gigs across the Vienne and surrounding area, giving us plenty of experience adapting our repertoire, sound and atmosphere to very different venues and audiences.
Our influences are very varied, which is reflected in our repertoire. Artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, The Cranberries, David Bowie, Dolly Parton, Simon & Garfunkel, Elton John and French artists such as Zazie and Johnny Hallyday have all shaped the kind of music we enjoy performing. Rather than choosing one “greatest song of all time”, we’re drawn to songs with strong melodies, memorable lyrics and opportunities for vocal harmony — especially songs we can reinterpret in our own Duo Cadence style.
Yes. As a Franco-British duo, our repertoire includes both English-language and French songs, alongside pop, folk, blues, country and well-known classics.
We usually arrive around 1 hour 30 minutes before the performance to set up and soundcheck. Our bookings are typically for a minimum of 2 hours of live music, usually split into sets, and we often perform for 3 hours or more depending on the event. We’re happy to adapt the format, set lengths and timings to suit the occasion.
Yes. We are very happy to perform outdoors, provided the performance area is covered and protected from sun, rain and wind, with a safe, level surface and access to a nearby power supply.
We’re happy to tailor the set to suit the event and audience. Clients can let us know the styles and songs they particularly like from our repertoire, and we can also discuss learning a specific song for a special occasion where possible.
Warm, friendly and engaging, with strong vocal harmonies and a varied repertoire. Clients often appreciate that we can create a relaxed atmosphere when needed, then lift the energy as the event develops.
Yes. We regularly adjust our repertoire, energy and set order to suit the venue, audience and type of event. We can create anything from a relaxed background atmosphere to a more lively, sing-along evening.
Yes, where possible. We’re happy to discuss learning a particular song for a wedding, celebration or special moment, provided we have enough notice and the song suits our format.
