The Electric Cherries are a professional live band from Inverness, playing music for weddings across the Highlands. We play all of our music live, no backing tracks, and include ceilidh on our set as standard. We bring all of our own PA and Lighting, and pride ourselves on bringing a personal touch to your big day.
We like to get to you know each and every couple, finding out your taste in music, about your families and the plans for your big day. We especially live special requests for songs and dances - no two weddings are the same!

Achnagairn Castle, has excellent load in and such a beautiful venue to perform in. Great sized room, nice acoustics. Love it.
We love playing weddings, everyone has their own ways of doing things and it's lovely to do something special for the wedding couple and make the end of their special day as much fun as possible
We have all been gigging musicians for a number of years. Many of the band are music tutors and our main singer is a former theatre/musical performer.
As a band we have a pretty broad range of tastes. Two of us in particular can quote the blues brothers movie such is our love of soul and blues music. Others are ceilidh daft, but when we come together there's definitely a strong connection between us.
We typically perform for 2 x 90min sets with a 30min break. We find this works well and ties in with most venues serving the evening buffet. Due to us being a large band with live musicians, we do need an hour to setup and soundcheck to make sure we're sounding great.
We can perform outside if we are under cover and there is adequate protection from the elements (it is the Highlands after all...!)
Yes! We want our clients to help choose the music and we like to learn new songs for first dances especially. Each gig is different, and our musicians love to make our performances personal.
We help people learning Ceilidh dances, and you'll quite often see some of the band out on the dancefloor demonstrating and joining in.
Amazing, good communication and easy to work with. Brilliant performance, had the dancefloor jumping all night.
Yes, we love to learn new songs and personalise our performance for each wedding couple.
Yes, we can call the dances and if you like we'll even grab some of your guests and drag them up on the dancefloor ourselves! Or we can demonstrate the moves, whatever works on the night. We'll make sure everyone is included and having a great time
