I consider every venue that has given me the opportunity to share my music as the best.
I enjoy performing for small to medium venues such as coffee shops, clubs, restaurants and wineries and also home gigs.
My brother and I did our first gig playing in our eighth grade school variety show performing a original song titled "What Am I to Say to You". Days of old and nights of Bold.
Here is a list of a few artist that have influenced me and their songs I cover during my performances: Paul McCartney "All My Lovin," Gram Parsons "Hickory Winds,' Eagles "Peaceful Easy Feeling." James Taylor "Bar Tender Blues," Dave Dudley "Six Days On The Road," Vince Gill "When I Call Her Name," Willie Nelson "Uncloudy Skies," The Classic Five "Traces of Love," Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues," Charlie Pride" Kiss An Angel Good Morning," and my brother Jack's song "Better Love For Roses," and to many more to mention.
I arrived approximately an hour before the schedule performance and my performance times are one two or three hours or more, based on the venue's need; with a ten minute break every hour. I try to spend most of my break time interacting with the patrons.
Yes, I enjoy outside venues as long as weather permits. If weather does not feel the need to cooperate I appreciate shade or shelter from rain. snow and sleet.
I have a set repertoire list with a variety of original and cover songs. I perform with an acoustic guitar, electric guitar and portable piano. I utilize a foot bass on some songs as well as a looper. I am very seldom approached with someone requesting I play a certain song.
I have had several patrons tell me they enjoy my arrangement of originals and covers and how I smoothly performed them. I have also been complimented on my choice of light hearted fun songs such as Mr. Spaceman by The Birds, Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet and one of my my original songs " Bad Dog No Bone".
