The Gumbo Gumbas are “A delicious medley of authentic New Orleans Jazz with a side of Creole". They play music that will make you happy and want to jump for joy and get their influences from the city that started it all in American music, New Orleans. The Gumbo Gumbas blend the elements of jazz, zydeco, R&B, swamp funk, and rock into a big old-fashioned southern stew. The core band is a 7 pc group consisting of accordion, bass, drums and 4 horns and can expand by adding a violin additional horn or percussionist. The lead singer is one of the horn players and doubles on the washboard. The band plays at festivals, corporate events, nightclubs and weddings and always gets the audience dancing with their infectious groove. For smaller events, the lead singer goes out as a solo act with tracks.
