TrueMix Band is a cover jam band playing Jazz, R&B, Rock and Blues.
True Mix was started by Ron Johnson(Vocals & Sax) and Ed Testa(Lead Guitar) in 2010 after years of friend while playing in other bands we came together and formed TrueMix. We jammed together till 2014 when the band hit a rough time and dispaned we also loss Ed r.i.p..
I meet Mike Shannon(Bass Guitar) in 2020 when I got a call from a mutual friend to join his band but it did not work out. After talking with Mike we grabbed Al Blackson(Drums) and put TrueMix back in action. Rich Smith( Tenor Sax & Vocals) join in to add some flare, Lee X( Lead Guitar & Vocals) and Mark Moore( keys) came in to round off the band. We honed our sound on the styles of Parlament, Cymanda, Dave Koz, Grover Washington Jr., Maceo Parker, The Crusaders, along with the party sounds of Brick, The Commadores, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, James Brown, Rick James, and K C and the Sunshine Band.
