I require a performing space of at least 3 metres x 3 metres. I would also require an available power supply with at least 1 outlet. I require a parking space close to the venue to unload sound equipment.
I need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. I’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limit in the venue.
Yes, my setup is completely self contained. I bring my own PA system to all of my gigs as well as a simple lighting.
If a sound system is available/provided, please let me know so that I can limit the load I need to transport and carry.
Yes, I am happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between sets.
I am happy to choose the music to suit the occasion or let the client choose the music. Communication of this would be greatly appreciated during our initial consult.
Playing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival was a huge highlight!
I love playing at all sorts of events but playing in crowded pubs, bars and clubs on Saturday nights are my absolute favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them singing and dancing. Plus, the music at these events is always fun to play.
I started gigging whilst at university and my performance developed from there. Since I started, I’ve performed at weddings, parties, bars and events across Sydney and surrounding areas.
I have also improved on my set with an exciting repertoire and built on my sound with a loop pedal and drum sounds.
I have been influenced by many artists across different genres - Australian Pub-Rock bands and artists like James Reyne and Colin Hay; Phil Collins, David Bowie and Paul Simon; Creedance and Clearwater Revival and Kings of Leon.
I would have to say that Paul Kelly has had the most influence on my sound. I love to incorporate To Her Door and From St. Kilda into my set. And when Christmas comes around, it doesn't hurt to throw in How to Make Gravy.
I usually arrive an hour before any setup to set up and check sound levels. I normally perform 3 x 45 minutes sets. I am happy to play a bit longer or shorter but I’ve found that these set times suit me and our audiences best.
Yes! I am happy to play outside but I ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
I can learn specific songs before the event but I usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from a repertoire of songs or let me choose the music for the event.
Previous customers would describe me as a fun and friendly performer that loves to get the audience relaxed, singing the tune, or even dancing if the occasion calls for it.
I love to vibe with the audience and I'm not afraid to take suggestions and critiques to improve my performance.
