Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

This summer, we played at the Ealing Beer Festival for 3 thousand folks, we sounded awesome, the audience loved our tight sound, fantastic repertoire and awesome harmonies.
We also had a great gig at the Rustic Swamp festival in Dorset this summer, the sound engineer was fantastic, we sounded brilliant, it was a fabulous festival!

What's your favourite type of event?

We love playing festivals, we are a festival band. But we also love playing pubs, clubs, private functions - anywhere where people want to hear classic honky tonkin country music

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We all have long pedigrees, 3 of us as full time professional musicians playing with famous bands over a long period, the other two highly experienced in a variety of bands and styles. We got together around 2018 with a mission to play the best of classic country and western swing, having all had a long standing love of country music.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Commander Cody and his lost planet airmen - look them up - cool, wry lyrics, rocking country band mixing up country, western swing, honky tonk, rock & roll and swing. Greatest song of all time - Que Sera Sera - only kiddin! Hot Rod Lincoln - by Commander Cody. Look up their guitarist Bill Kirchen playing it - he impersonates about 100 guitarists/styles - it's hilarious and fabulous!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive between 1 and 2 hours before the performance time to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 or 60 minutes sets, although at festivals, it's often 45 - 60 minutes

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, we play outside, we have an excellent sound system that can cope with a large outside area

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We play tight, well-rehearsed sets, but we may be able to incorporate a song or two that we don't already know, if we have sufficient advanced warning

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Barnstorming performance of wonderful rocking country music, awesome harmonies, great soloing on guitar and pedal steel, fabulous tight rhythm section and charismatic, wry front man

Do you do Line Dancing music?

Several of our songs are suitable for line dancing, we do get a lot of folks up and line dancing, although i wouldn't say we specialise in it
