Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Our technical requirements depend on the chosen lineup. We need a dry, level performance area with enough space for the musicians and equipment, access to a safe power supply, and nearby parking with easy access for loading and unloading. Outdoor performances require suitable cover from rain, wind and direct sun.

Sound equipment, any piano requirements and the final setup will be agreed with you before the event.

What information do you require about a venue?

Please share the event date, location, occasion, approximate number of guests, preferred lineup and performance times. Let us know whether you would like background music or a concert-style performance, and if the venue is indoors or outdoors.

Details about sound equipment, an available piano, access, parking, your budget and any special song requests will also help us tailor the performance to your event.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we are fully self-contained and bring our own PA system and basic lighting. For larger events, we’ll discuss any additional sound or lighting requirements in advance.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we’re happy to provide background music before, after and between our sets. We can select music to complement your event or play a playlist of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

It’s difficult to choose just one! Highlights include singing in a musical at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, performing at a wedding at Mereveld in Utrecht, and entertaining guests at a corporate event for a marketing company at Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg.

My Christmas dinner performances at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel in Zwolle also hold a special place in my heart. Being invited back to bring music to such an intimate, festive setting is a wonderful compliment.

What's your favourite type of event?

My favourite events are intimate jazz dinners and stylish celebrations where live music brings people together. I love creating a warm, elegant atmosphere, whether at a wedding, a Christmas dinner or a corporate reception. There’s something special about seeing guests connect with a song and making their occasion even more memorable.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

My performing journey began in Hong Kong, where I sang in a musical at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. After returning to the Netherlands in 2006, I began studying jazz vocals at Djam in Amsterdam and gradually built my live performance career.

Since then, I’ve performed at intimate concerts, weddings, corporate events and jazz venues. Highlights include Christmas dinners at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel in Zwolle, a wedding at Mereveld in Utrecht and a corporate event at Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg.

Alongside performing, I’ve recorded my album Home at Last and EP My Tribute to Ella’s Songs. My love of storytelling and connecting with an audience continues to inspire every performance.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My biggest influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Norah Jones and Diana Krall. I’m drawn to their storytelling, phrasing and ability to make a song feel intimate and personal.

Ella Fitzgerald holds a special place in my heart—her effortless swing and playful improvisation inspired my EP, My Tribute to Ella’s Songs.

If I had to choose one greatest song, it would be Michel Legrand’s Watch What Happens. Its sense of hope and possibility captures what I love about music: the magic that can happen when we open our hearts.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We usually allow 60–90 minutes before the performance to set up and soundcheck, depending on the lineup and venue.

A typical booking includes three 20-minute sets for a jazz dinner, or two 45-minute sets for a reception or celebration. Timings and breaks can be tailored to your event and agreed in advance.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, we’re happy to perform outdoors, provided there is a dry, level performance area, suitable cover from rain, wind and direct sunlight, and a safe power supply. We recommend having an indoor alternative available in case of unsuitable weather.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely! Clients are welcome to choose favourites from our existing repertoire. We’re happy to discuss preferences in advance and shape the setlist to suit the mood and style of your event.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

My performances are often described as warm, intimate and atmospheric, with smooth jazz vocals and an elegant, relaxed feel. Clients appreciate the personal connection with their guests and the way the music complements the occasion.
