About / Biography

John is a highly skilled saxophonist and clarinettist with an outstanding reputation for musical excellence. With extensive experience across the industry, he has performed on some of Ireland’s most iconic stages, including the National Concert Hall, the Olympia Theatre, Bord Gais Theatre, Gaiety Theatre and the SSE .

Renowned for his versatility, John performs confidently in every genre and regularly appears with many of Ireland’s top wedding and corporate bands. His energetic style and ability to read a crowd make him the perfect addition to any event, from elegant receptions to high‑energy celebrations.

Whether performing with his own premium backing tracks or improvising alongside your DJ, John brings a vibrant, polished sound that elevates the atmosphere and keeps guests engaged. His performances are guaranteed to bring your party to life.

A graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and holding a master’s degree in performance from Maynooth University, John combines elite training with genuine passion—delivering unforgettable music for every occasion.

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I really enjoyed playing the big sax solo "Love Theme' from Blade Runner in a live orchestral performance at a packed Bord Gáis theatre some time ago. It required total focus and I really enjoyed setting the mood for the action on the big screen behind me


What's your favourite type of event?

I always say my favourite event is the one I’m at. Whether it’s a wedding, a birthday celebration, a festival stage, or a corporate event, I genuinely love them all. Every occasion brings its own energy—and I’m all in every time.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've many years of performance as a classical musician from an early age. I began in a local band and quickly gained a love for being able to express myself musically.


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’m passionate about every kind of music—jazz, pop, Ibiza house, musical theatre, classical, disco, and everything in between. My favourite artists and songs are always evolving, which keeps every performance fresh and exciting.
