We booked John Murphy Sax for my sister’s surprise 50th birthday and he was absolutely brilliant! 🎷✨ From the minute he started playing, he brought such a fantastic energy to the party. The guests absolutely loved him, he had everyone singing, dancing and really added something special to the whole night. John was professional, friendly and incredibly talented, and his performance was definitely the highlight of the party. We had so many people commenting afterwards on how good he was. If you’re thinking about booking Johnny for a party or special occasion, I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. We were so pleased with John’s saxophone playing at Jordan’s testimonial in February at the Europa Hotel in Belfast. His playing created a lovely atmosphere and really added something special to the event.
He was professional, easy to work with, and judged the mood of the room perfectly. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music.

We hired John Murphy to play the saxophone for our cocktail hour. John is very flexible with requests! He was excellent at the wedding and is so talented! And as a jazz lover myself I enjoyed every bit of it during the cocktail hour. I’m from Malaysia and from the Indian descent and had requested to play a Tamil song on the saxophone and John absolutely nailed it. Everyone still talks about it! We don’t regret hiring John and would hire him again if there’s any occasion.

ohn was the perfect addition to our wedding day dancefloor! He kept it rocking all night long (which is exactly what we requested).
I feel so lucky that I found him online and that he was available to play at our wedding. We are very grateful for the endless entertainment he provided. When I initially booked John he responded at rapids rates, he sent really lovely, positive messages in advance of our day.
He agreed to play with our band and with our DJ. I gave him the contact information for our band and he independently contacted them in advance to discuss the setlist. He was so punctual (in fact I am sure he was there hours before he needed to be) and he stayed well beyond his agreed time.
He collaborated with the band and blended in so well that many of our guests thought he was a member. Once the DJ started he was on the dancefloor interacting with everyone. He was truly amazing, so skillful and it looked like he enjoyed himself too which was really lovely to see. He was a talking point during our day 2 event, with many of our guests praising how good he was and how he added so much fun to the dancefloor. I would highly recommend John for any occasion. He is an absolute gentleman, a total pleasure to deal with, he is very professional, unbelievably skilled at what he does and has such a passion for music (I know he has a massive range of musical talents). Thanks so much John for making our day extra unforgettable.

Thank you so much for an unbelievable performance at our wedding at Markree Castle Dec 2025. Everyone is still raving about you, the place really came alive when you got going in the dining room after dinner when people needed a pick me up!
We also had lots of people saying how impressed they were with the continuation of the same song by you and the band after you’d walked everyone down to the basement for dancing. We loved the variety of tunes you played, nothing was a problem, and your sax was absolutely the highlight of a lot people’s day.
