Just need to know the power supply set up and if there is a sound person (for event spaces).
I need to know how many people are expected, where I will play (inside or outside) and the available power supply. Any guidance on parking and finding the right place to load in our equipment. I also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue or any city/neighborhood ordinance for sound.
Yes, I provide a premium Bose sound system to all of our gigs as well as a stage/mood light.
Yes, I'm happy to play music from Pandora/Amazon Music (ad-free of course) before, after and between our sets. I can choose the music or let the client choose the music.
I recently did a gig at a wine bar called Twisted Vineful with a great friend I've known for 20+ years (also the guitarist from Dramarama) and it was so much fun, we were "on" and it rocked.
I really enjoy private events regardless of size - the small, intimate gathering of 20 people around a fire pit or a big birthday bash of 100 people - each has its own feel, but it's a great blessing to bring joy to that moment and be a part of your celebration.
I've been doing this for 25+ years. I started in a band, then went on to make all original music for a period of time, and later in life came to realize how much I missed playing for live crowds and that I loved playing across San Diego venues (outdoors and sunshine).
That's a hard one, probably Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks & Johnny Cash.
Arrive 1-1.5 hours before the performance to set up. Performance depends on how long I'm there and for private events, what customizations are needed - typically 2-3 x 45 minute sets. These set times suit our audiences best and allow the music to adjust to the energy or vibe of the event.
Yes.
Absolutely, audience requests are encouraged.
Professional and quality.
The more details you can share about your event and venue (size, location, number of guests) and expectations, the better I can be prepared with the right sound equipment, music, and energy to make it a great time.
