Your wedding ceremony should feel like you: meaningful, personal, and a whole lot of fun.
I’m Julie, a heart-led celebrant, ceremony writer and your wedding BFF. I create warm, beautifully written ceremonies that tell your story, bring your personalities to life and have your guests laughing, crying and feeling all the feels.
From our first chat to when you receive your marriage cert, I’m here to make the process easy, enjoyable and completely yours. I’ll listen, collaborate, share ideas, keep an eye on the details and make sure your ceremony feels anything but cookie-cutter.
My style? Heartfelt with a healthy dose of humour. I’m not about stealing the limelight or creating unnecessary fuss. I’m about holding space, bringing fresh ideas, working hard and making sure you feel supported every step of the way.
After writing my own civil wedding ceremony, I fell in love with the process and knew I’d found my calling. Now, I get to do the same for couples across Australia, creating ceremonies that are full of personality.

It's good to know if there is a Plan B location for bad weather.
Apart from that, nothing, I'm pretty self-sufficient.
Nothing. My PA is batter operated and fully charged so I don't need power.
I normally arrive an hour before the wedding to do a sound check, centre myself, greet the guests, and calm the nerves of the marrying couple.
Yes, public liability and professional indemnity
Absolutely, after all the work I put in to writing your ceremony and you put in to creating your vows, believe me when I say I want everyone to be able to hear evry word. That's why I use the BOSE S1 Pro Plus.
I try not to pick favourites. I feel deeply connected to all my couples, whether they have $100k budget for their wedding or are getting married on a shoestring. My favourite weddings feel like a collaboration. I share my experience and expertise with my couples but ultimately I'm here to facilitate exactly what they want.
Weddings, hands down! I love creating ceremonies that feel like the couple, with plenty of heart, personality and a bit of fun.
My journey into celebrancy started with my own wedding. I chose to have a civil ceremony, wrote it myself and fell in love with the whole process of creating something meaningful and personal. I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to do the same for other couples. Since then, I’ve built my celebrancy business around great storytelling, creativity, connection and making the whole experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. I've been a celebrant for over 10 years and have married over 500 couples.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all ceremonies. I take the time to really get to know each couple, listen to what matters to them and create a ceremony that feels genuinely theirs. I’m a big-picture thinker and a detail person, so I’ll work hard behind the scenes to make the whole process feel easy, personal and fun. I also speak multiple languages so am more than happy to incorporate a sprinkling of any language into my ceremonies. I'm Irish so you'll get a beautiful Irish accent, a knack for storytelling and even a shot of whiskey before the ceremony (if you want!).
Absolutely. Every ceremony is tailored to the couple, their story and the feel they want for their day. I’ll work with you to make sure the ceremony feels personal, meaningful and true to who you are.
Planning Meeting (normally between 3-6 months before your wedding day, at my home office in Mayfield or by Google Meet)
My Couples Ceremony Planning Resource Kit - full of wedding ceremony inspiration.
My Vow Writing Guide + Printed vow cards.
Draft ceremony script (which you can edit if you want to).
Use of my PA system for ceremony music (you must provide an operator).
Presentation certificate & printed copy of the final ceremony to keep as a memento.
Registration of marriage with Births, Deaths & Marriages.
Ideally, as early as possible, especially for popular wedding dates. I'm often booked out a year in advance. That said, if your date is coming up soon, it’s always worth getting in touch to see if I’m available.
Warm, friendly, professional and easy to feel comfortable with. Clients often mention how supported and reassured they felt throughout the process, and how I helped make their ceremony feel personal, relaxed and completely them. And they are always grateful for the support and resources I give to help them nail their personalised vows.
This is not the corporate world! Hahaha.
