Hello,
I am Kate and I play the saxophones, what I studied at Jaroslav Ježek's Conservatory in Prague. On saxes I play concerts with genres in popular music, mainly jazz as it has been the origin of almost every popular genre up to this age, for example the few as latin, soul, R&B, rock, hip hop, reggae, almost everything you can imagine. I can do both the sheet reading and from listening to improvisation.
Now i play in about 23 members bigband Pirate Swing Band from Czechia which began with Radek Škeřík's - our pianist and arranger's jazz bigband versions of some of Queen pieces, played in Montreaux when Queen's producer Peter Freestone found us out and now we invite few interesting music guests from CZ every year, last year we played with singer (from Illustratosphere or J.A.R.) Dan Bárta.
