Duo la PASSIONE
Duo la PASSIONE was founded in 2023, combining a London-born violinist Mark Reinski and a Italian Palermitan pianist Giovanna Rappa. We both graduated the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with honours last year. and Mark Reinski (violin) have performed as the soloists of the international duo La PASSIONE — a vibrant chamber ensemble representing a new generation of classical musicians.
Founded independently as a chamber project, the ensemble quickly established itself on the concert stage. The duo is actively engaged in both international touring and educational outreach, combining virtuosic performances with original commentaries and exclusive stories of the music and the lives of its composers.
La PASSIONE has appeared at prestigious concert venues and international festivals across Russia, Abkhazia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and the UK. Both musicians are prize winners of numerous international competitions, recognised for their achievements as solo performers as well as members of the duo.
Their repertoire brings together masterpieces of the classical canon, rarely performed works, neoclassical staples, and original arrangements, creating a distinctive artistic identity and a compelling dialogue with the audience.
The duo has been known for extensive high-class work as part of diplomatic events, performing extensively at the British Ambassador's Residence and other exclusive venues across Europe.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific pieces before the event but we usually limit this to 5 pieces. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
