Stage/Performance Area:

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

We bring our own PA system to all our gigs if the location is in the region we are based (Calabria, Italy), otherwise we need:

o Acoustic Grand Piano (well-tuned to A440) preferred.
o If unavailable, a professional-grade 88-key weighted digital keyboard with sustain pedal is acceptable.
o Keyboard brands/models: Nord Stage, Yamaha CP88, or Roland RD-2000 (or equivalent).

o For digital keyboard: 1 x high-quality DI box (e.g., Radial JDI or equivalent).
o Additional DI for backing tracks (if applicable).

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

One of our most memorable performances was at Parole in Sila, a cultural event where music was part of a wider artistic and cultural experience.

Our favourite events are festivals and cultural events, followed by theatre and concert performances and municipal and public events. We also particularly enjoy performing at hotels and resorts, private celebrations, weddings and wedding receptions.

We love events that allow us to create a strong connection with the audience while presenting our piano and voice repertoire in a refined and engaging live setting. We also enjoy cocktail parties, elegant dinners, corporate events and performances in private villas and exclusive venues.

We started performing live around 20 years ago, developing our experience through concerts, festivals, cultural events, public performances, private celebrations, weddings, hotels and other special events.

Over the years, we have performed in a wide range of venues and settings, gaining extensive experience in adapting our music to different audiences and occasions. Our musical journey began with a passion for live performance and gradually developed into a professional activity, with a particular focus on the combination of piano and voice.

Today, PAUSACAFFÈ brings together this long experience with a carefully selected repertoire ranging from jazz and bossa nova to soul, pop and Italian classics, creating versatile and refined live performances.

We have been most influenced by many artists, who combine strong musicianship, elegance and expressive interpretation, particularly Elis Regina, Nat King Cole, Sara Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Antônio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto.

Our typical setup requires approximately **2 hours before the performance**, including load-in and equipment preparation.

Soundcheck usually takes around **30–45 minutes** and is ideally completed at least one hour before the audience arrives.

Our standard performance time is **up to 90 minutes**, which can be presented as one continuous set or divided into **two 45-minute sets**, depending on the type and schedule of the event.

We are flexible and can adapt the setup and performance format to the venue, event schedule and specific requirements of the organiser.

Yes, we are happy to perform outdoors. We particularly enjoy outdoor performances at festivals, cultural events, public spaces, historic venues, hotels, resorts and private events. For outdoor performances, we simply require a suitable, stable and weather-protected performance area, particularly for the piano and other equipment. Adequate protection from direct sunlight, rain and adverse weather conditions is essential to ensure the safety of the instruments and equipment. We are happy to adapt our setup and performance to different outdoor environments and event formats.

We perform primarily from our carefully selected and established repertoire, which allows us to maintain the musical quality and style of our performances. Clients do not normally choose the repertoire. However, we are happy to consider specific song requests in exceptional cases, particularly when a particular song has a special meaning for the event. Requests are discussed with us in advance and, where appropriate, we may include them in the performance.
