Siciliani di Messina, laureati al Conservatorio A. Corelli di Messina, iniziano la loro attività musicale suonando in varie formazioni. In seguito ampliano la loro formazione artistica frequentando corsi di improvvisazione Jazz con maestri di livello, anche alla Berklee Summer School at Umbria Jazz. Costituiscono l'Aktuell Quartet proponendo un repertorio originale che mette insieme brani vocali e strumentali e si esibiscono in teatri, piazze e jazz club in Sicilia e Calabria.
Il loro repertorio tocca gli Standard cantati che hanno contribuito a definire il Novecento, composti dai grandi:
Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Ray Charles, Jerome Kern, Quincy Jones, Red Garland, Nat King Cole.
Brani strumentali dei grandi maestri come Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Wine Shorter.
