Le Chat Rouge is a professional Jazz Manouche quartet inspired by the legendary music of Django Reinhardt and the Parisian swing tradition of the 1930s and 1940s.
Our repertoire features the timeless classics of Django Reinhardt, alongside some of the most famous jazz standards and swing tunes, reinterpreted in the distinctive and vibrant Manouche style. We also bring a selection of classic Italian swing songs, creating a unique musical journey that combines French Gypsy Jazz, American swing and the elegance of Italian music.
With guitars, violin and double bass, our sound can range from intimate and sophisticated to energetic and highly engaging, making us suitable for a wide variety of events. We perform at weddings, private parties, corporate events, festivals, wine tastings, aperitifs and elegant dinners.
Our repertoire can include Django Reinhardt classics, well-known jazz standards and swing favourites, as well as iconic Italian songs such as Volare, Buonasera Signorina, In cerca di te and Via con me.

A minimum performance space of 3 × 3 metres is required.
For events requiring air travel, suitable audio equipment must be provided at the venue. For small venues, four 60W acoustic instrument amplifiers (e.g. AER Compact 60 or equivalent) are sufficient. For larger venues, we will coordinate the appropriate sound system according to the venue and audience size.
All necessary connection cables must also be provided by the venue.

Audio equipment requirements will be agreed upon according to the distance and logistics of the event. If the performance requires us to travel by air, it would be preferable for the client to provide the necessary audio equipment locally.
For smaller venues, four 60W acoustic instrument amplifiers (such as AER Compact 60 or equivalent) are sufficient. For larger venues, the required setup will be agreed upon in advance.
Yes, we can provide background music via Spotify according to the client’s preferences. We can also create a tailored playlist and include specific songs requested by the client.
One of our most memorable concerts took place on a boat, with the audience gathered along the waterfront while we performed on board. It created a truly magical atmosphere and an incredible, unforgettable experience for everyone.
Our favourite events are aperitifs, dinners and social gatherings where our music can complement the atmosphere, creating an elegant and relaxed backdrop without overpowering the event.
Initially, we dedicated ourselves to studying and exploring the music of Django Reinhardt and the Jazz Manouche tradition. After five years of activity, we have developed a solid repertoire and now perform regularly throughout the year at concerts and events.
The artist who has influenced us the most is undoubtedly Django Reinhardt, along with the rich musical tradition that grew from his unique style and the entire world of Jazz Manouche and Swing that followed.
We normally arrive at the venue about two hours before the performance to set up and prepare. We usually perform 2 sets of 45–60 minutes, but the duration and schedule can be adapted to the client’s specific needs.
Yes, we are happy to perform outdoors, provided that the weather and surrounding conditions are suitable for the performance and the safety of both the musicians and the equipment.
We generally perform from our own setlist, but we are happy to accommodate one or two song requests per performance, depending on the time available and whether the song fits our musical style and repertoire.
