We need a performance space of at least 3 meters x 2 meters and shade from the sun. We perform mostly without amplifying the sound.

Good directions will help us find our way.

We can bring our own PA system for our performance if needed but we prefer to play acoustically always when possible in order to hear the true colors of our instruments. We don’t provide lightning equipment.

We can not provide DJ service.

We usually play acoustically without a PA system, but for bigger weddings we can also bring our top quality sound system. This is a very good choice in all events that host over 40 people and for weddings that are held outside.

We will need 2 chairs (without armrests) and shade for us during the performance. Our instruments can not be used in the direct sunligh so the importance of having a decent shade for us is very important.

We have done a lot of performances as part of different ensembles. I have organized thousands of concerts, performed in weddings, at company events and touring internationally with various groups.

The wedding venues on Crete are stunning. To play music at weddings in the warm summer night, by the Mediterranean Sea, under the stars is every time an incredible and unforgettable moment to be grateful for.

We love playing at all sorts of events and love especially to perform in weddings. It’s our pleasure to bring joy and beauty with our music. To be able to make unforgettable memories with music is our passion.

Both me and Bernhard have made a career in classical music before moving to Crete. I have been playing in orchestras, string quartets and different chamber music ensembles in Finland for the past 35 years. I have also been teaching classical music and published teaching materials (Violin Friends music books) in Finland.

We started to play together in Orchestra Vamos on Crete. We soon went on the found Lefka Ori Duo as well as our other ensemble, Melos String Quartet.

It is an impossible task to name just a few composers or artist who have influenced us. The classical music repertoire is a constant jewel box that is just waiting to be opened and explored.

We have been professionally trained and engaged in classical music in our home countries in South Africa and Finland before moving to Crete. I am also the publisher of Violin Friends music books and have been training violin teachers in pedagogy in various countries in Europe and Malaysia. Bernhard is performing in various ensembles on Crete and has started to write music for documentaries. We are both performing in Melos String Quartet and Arco String Trio as well.

We usually arrive one hour before the start of the performance and play 2 x45 min,m depending on the event of course.

We are very happy to perform outside as long as we can arrange some shade for us and our preciuos instruments.

We can learn specific songs but will need a minimin of one week to make and rehearse our arrangement.

We have a wide repertoire that is based on classical music and we also play arrangements of popular music, music from Bridgerton, famous love themes from movies, tangos, and music from Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Spain and Greece.

We can arrange 2 songs for free for your wedding, and more music with an additional cost.

In order to have to to make and rehearsal new arrangements we need your request one month before your wedding day.
