Lights Musical Duo with a Live Band Sound

We need a performance space of at least 8 feet x 6 feet. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets, adequate lighting, weather cover if necessary and 1 parking space.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment

We provide all sound equipment but no lights

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

We were added to the entertainment rotation at the Flying Horse Country Club playing both outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors in the Tack Room. It's a nice place.

We love playing at all sorts of events but clubs and parties are our favorite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing or singing along

Spence started playing guitar in high school, went on to become the lead guitarist for the UCSD Jazz Band in college and has played professionally on and off for many years in hotel chains, bars, clubs and restaurants. He met singer Susie, they married and have been playing church venues on worship teams. Nowadays they play in their secular musical duo called "Lights" at public venues and parties.

Eagles, Jeff Beck, Steely Dan. Greatest song of all time? Let's stick with popular music, and there isn't just one! There are 3: God Only Knows by Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys, Charade by the BeeGees and Snowbound by Donald Fagan.

We normally arrive 1 and a half or 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform one 3 hour set, 2 x 90 minutes or 3 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best. But we can easily play 4 hours nonstop if required :)

We’re happy to play outside in good weather but we ask for shade, adequate lighting, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 3 songs with a week prior notice. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire but it's best to let us choose the music for them as we "read the room" :)
