Make-up Matters is a professional bridal hair and make-up team working throughout the Netherlands. We specialise in natural, elegant bridal looks that enhance your features without making you feel overdone.
Our signature style ranges from fresh and natural to soft glam and timeless bridal beauty. We believe your wedding look should still feel like you, just a beautifully polished version of yourself.
Our experienced team of professional make-up artists and hairstylists can provide both bridal make-up and hairstyling, whether you are getting ready at home, at a hotel or directly at your wedding venue. We can also take care of mothers, bridesmaids and other wedding guests, making it possible to prepare several people together on the morning of the wedding.
During a trial session, we take time to discuss your wishes, wedding style, dress, hair, skin and personal preferences. Together we create a look that suits you and photographs beautifully, while also staying comfortable and long-lasting throughout your wedding day.
For bridal hairstyling, we create a wide range of styles including romantic updos, soft waves, half-up hairstyles, modern buns, boho-inspired looks and elegant timeless styles.
For make-up, we work with professional products and carefully selected high-quality brands. Our focus is on beautiful skin, flattering colours and a finish that looks stunning both in real life and in photographs.
With a team of experienced bridal specialists, Make-up Matters is available for weddings across the Netherlands and can also accommodate larger bridal parties.
Our goal is simple: to make you feel relaxed, confident and completely yourself on one of the most special days of your life.
We require a clean, well-lit preparation area with access to a table, chairs, power outlets and preferably natural daylight. For hairstyling, access to a mirror is helpful. Please ensure there is enough space for our team and equipment to work comfortably.
About 15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to pack down, and we can do both without disturbing your guests.
Some of our favourite jobs are weddings where we get to take care of the bride as well as her bridesmaids and family, creating the full getting-ready experience together. We have worked at many beautiful wedding venues across the Netherlands, from elegant castles to romantic country estates. For us, the best venues are those where there is a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful natural light and enough space to make the bridal morning feel truly special.

Absolutely. Every bridal look is tailored to the bride, her personal style, dress, wedding atmosphere and preferences. We can create anything from fresh and natural to soft glam or more elegant, statement looks, and we can also adapt our services for bridesmaids, family members and larger bridal parties.
Our standard bridal service includes professional bridal hair and/or make-up, a personal trial session beforehand, preparation and styling on the wedding day, and all professional products and equipment needed. We can also provide hair and make-up for bridesmaids, mothers and other wedding guests.
For popular wedding dates, we recommend booking at least one year in advance. However, with our larger bridal team we can sometimes accommodate weddings at shorter notice too, so it is always worth checking availability.
