A Little About My Practice

I'm Makhosi M Brown, a Traditional Healer and Psychic Intuitive (THP) based here in Stellenbosch. My work blends traditional African healing wisdom, the kind passed down to me through years of training and ukuthwasa, with an understanding of the real pressures and decisions people carry in modern life.

This isn't performance for me. It's a calling I've lived through, and it shapes how I sit with every person who comes to me. Sessions are held one on one, either in person at my sanctuary or online via video call for those who aren't local or simply prefer to connect from home. Either way, I believe people deserve full attention and space to speak, ask, and listen without being rushed through it.

The Three Services I Offer

1. Psychic & Intuitive Reading

I use intuitive insight and ancestral connection to help you find clarity around what's happening in your life right now, your relationships, your career, decisions you're wrestling with. Often what's weighing on us is hard to see clearly when we're standing too close to it. I help surface what's underneath. This is a good fit if you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or need direction before making an important choice. Available in person or online.

2. Tarot Card Reading

I work with traditional tarot cards to explore specific questions or broader life themes, love, work, family, purpose. If you want something concrete and symbol-based that you can sit with and revisit afterward, tarot does that well. We can focus on one pressing question, or I can give you a wider read on where your energy and circumstances seem to be heading. Available in person or online.

3. Bone Throwing Divination (Ukushaya Amathambo)

This is the practice closest to my lineage, a traditional Southern African divination method passed down through generations of healers before me. I cast bones, shells, and other sacred objects and read them for insight into your path, messages from the ancestors, and spiritual blockages that may be sitting in your way. It's one of the oldest, most respected forms of guidance in our tradition, and it offers a depth that comes straight from ancestral connection rather than symbols alone. This session works best in person, though an online version can be arranged on request.

What I Charge

Standard Rate: $120 USD per session (working class / general public)

Pensioners: 50% off — $60 USD per session
I may ask for proof of pensioner status.

Students: 25% off — $90 USD per session
Valid student ID or proof of enrollment may be requested.

Rates apply equally to in-person and online sessions. Whatever category you fall into, you get the same full quality of my time and attention. The discount exists so this guidance stays reachable for people at different stages of life, not to shortchange anyone's session.
