Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I performed at the 2025 Calgary Bluesfest, we opened the festival as the first band on the first day. It was my first time playing on such a large outdoor stage, and the entire festival was an amazing experience. I got to meet fantastic musicians from all over Canada and the US.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing for engaged and attentive audiences anywhere. Seeing folks dancing and singing along brings me into the moment even more and elevates my performance.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started playing paying gigs with my own original music in 2011. I was 19 at the time and didn't really know what I was doing, but I kept at it and have learned a tonne through the years. During that time I've performed at all kinds of venues and festivals, both fronting my own band and as a sideman.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I got really hooked on guitar when I learned the guitar riff to Sunshine Of Your Love. That introduced me to Eric Clapton, and was quickly followed by Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I have added many more influences since then, but I always come back to these three.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally play as a three piece band (guitar, bass, drums). We need an hour to get set up and sound check. We usually play two to three 45 minute sets but we are happy to accommodate venues' requests in this regard.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes but we do require power

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We are happy to listen to requests for specific songs, but we do not guarantee they will be performed.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Energetic, dynamic, tight and well rehearsed.

Can I request certain songs to play at my event?

Absolutely! We'd love to play the songs you want to hear, however because we are a small three-piece band it may not sound like to record. We love arranging classic songs in fun new ways, so this may refresh a song you're already familiar with. Our ability to accommodate your request will depend on the timeline of your event.
