Midget Submarine is a Johannesburg-based South African punk-rock band blending the raw energy of punk, the grit of rock 'n' roll, and a healthy dose of pop-culture references. With original songs, sharp lyrics, and an offbeat sense of humour, the band brings an alternative edge to the South African rock scene.
The band features Neil Branfield on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Josh Pearlson on lead guitar, Sean McBride on drums, and Eleazar Strachan on bass guitar.
Drawing inspiration from the absurdities of everyday life and the strange corners of popular culture, Midget Submarine delivers an energetic, unconventional take on punk rock. The band is currently working on a new EP and preparing to bring its original music to stages across South Africa.
