Indian Dance Group MOHINI is a group specializing in Indian dance at the highest level. The group's dancers regularly hone their skills under the guidance of renowned masters in India, offering a wide range of choreographies: from classical styles like Bharatanatyam and Kathak, through folk dances from various regions of India, to energetic Bollywood performances.
MOHINI's unique style is a harmonious blend of traditional Indian art with a modern artistic approach, making their performances an unparalleled experience. The group has gained recognition at prestigious festivals, such as the Bollywood and Multicultural Festival in Greece, Crossing Borders Warsaw Festival, and on stages at venues like the Grand Theatre in Warsaw and the Centre for Contemporary Art. As the only Indian dance group in Poland, Mohini participated in the World of Dance Poland program.

Option to prepare a choreography specifically for a song chosen by the client.
Bollywood Workshops & Animations: Learning basic steps and a segment of choreography that the audience will dance together with the dancers (15-20 minutes, depending on participant engagement).

All dances shall be performed barefoot. The organizer shall provide a smooth, flat, dry and clean dance surface (e.g. ballet floor, varnished parquet floor, linoleum tiles, professional stage, etc.)
Necessary dimensions of the actual dance space:
● 1 dancer: min. 2x3 meters
● 2-4dancers: min. 3x4 meters
● 5-6dancers: min. 4x4 meters
● 7 and more dancers: min. 5x5 meters
The dressing room shall be a brightly lit place, free from cigarette smoke and access of persons bystanders, of a size that allows the free movement of an adequate number of Dancers, equipped with an adequate number of tables and chairs and, if possible, a large
mirror.
We need to know if there is a sound system and if there is a dressing room.
We do not bring our own sound system or lighting kit to our concerts.
No, we cannot provide music between performances.
As the only Indian dance group in Poland, we participated in the dance show World of Dance Poland.
We participated in the largest international Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival in Greece.

Indian Dance Group MOHINI was founded in 2008. Ever since, our dancers have been actively creating and performing, as well as learning from the best Indian masters like Kapil Sharma, Hari Padman, Pt Arjun Mishra, Pt Birju Maharaj, and Nirupama and Rajendra – Abhinava Dance Company. This extensive training has allowed us to continually refine our skills and technique in the classical forms of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. We started performing by showcasing these classical and semi-classical choreographies, alongside pieces influenced by the colorful folk dances of India and dynamic Bollywood routines that interpret the most beautiful and catchy songs from Indian cinema.
We usually need about 1,5 hour before the show to get ready and 15 minutes between dance performances to change costumes. The timing of our performances depends on prior arrangements with clients.
Yes, we can perform outside, we need a smooth, flat, dry and clean dance surface (e.g. ballet floor, varnished parquet floor, linoleum tiles, professional stage, etc.).
We have our large repertoire with ready-made choreographies, but we can arrange a new choreography for a song of your choice on special request.
