Moonshine Riders was formed in Madrid in 2024 as a high-quality cover band project, founded by seasoned musicians from other bands, representing different nationalities and professional backgrounds. The group emerged from the ashes of The Melody Makers, formerly one of Madrid’s top 70s Disco cover bands.
With prior performance experience at well-known venues such as Tempo Club, El Sótano, Rockville, Elefante Blanco, Honky Tonk, Aperitoche, Fun House, Restaurante Bálamo, Cadillac Solitario, ContraClub, Derry Irish Tavern, Folie Bar, as well as several municipal public events, the band has already laid the foundation to become a standout tribute act within a musical style that sets itself apart in the Madrid scene. Our appearance at the upcoming edition of the Hoyo de Manzanares Country Festival—the most important event of its kind in the region—has been unofficially already confirmed for 2026.
The setlist, made up exclusively of hits, strikes a balance between commercial appeal (featuring artists like Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and 4 Non Blondes) and full-throated anthems that invite the crowd to sing along. It blends timeless classics from genre-defining artists such as Johnny Cash, Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bruce Springsteen, or The Rolling Stones.
Rather than incorporating traditional country instrumentation like fiddle, pedal steel, or acoustic guitars, Moonshine Riders focuses on delivering pure energy through a classic rock lineup: two electric guitars, bass and drums, all supporting a charismatic female lead vocalist with a charming accent. Our goal is simple: to make people dance and have a great time—and we deliver. Moonshine Riders can perform as a duo, trio, quartet, or as a powerful full 5-piece band.

Our influences may vary, embracing both vintage Country/Country Rock acts from the Eagles to Johnny Cash, and modern Country acts such as Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley or Brandi Carlile. However, we like to include songs from Rock bands such as The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival or Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. Greatest song of all time? Every band member will choose different one, but we might agree that "Hotel California" might be one of the biggest ever...
