Black Tie Optional Band is based in Porto, Portugal. There is no travel fee for the following cities in Portugal: Porto, Braga, Espinho, Aveiro, West Douro Valley (less than an hour outside of Porto). Travel fees apply outside of a one hour radius from Porto.

We need a flat, dry performance space of at least 4 meters x 3 meters. We require 2 dedicated 16A circuits for power and 2 parking spaces.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Basic PA system is provided. Additional equipment including lighting is available with an additional fee.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We performed a "Duos of the '70s" tribute show to Sonny & Cher, the Captain & Tennille, and Donny & Marie with 1970's themed go go dancers, real vintage costumes, and a full horns section. It was the most fun show we've ever done!
We love to keep the audience on their feet and dancing all night! Our favorite events are when the audience is rowdy until the very last minute!
Together, our band members have decades of experience in the live entertainment industry. We come from a variety of musical backgrounds and have played weddings, corporate events, cruises, theatrical productions, trade shows, and festivals.
We are heavily influenced by bands of the 1990's and early 2000's. We love the fun, dance-inducing music of Blink 182, Britney Spears, Sum 41, Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, and Daft Punk. Greatest song of all time: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
We arrive 3 hours before our performance time for setup. We normally perform three 45-minute sets with a break in between sets.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. If rain is forecast, a rain plan should be in place so that our equipment stays dry.
We are willing to learn up to three new songs, but we have a song list available for clients to choose what they want and what they don't want.
