Mr. JoSie is a fresh duo from the country and folk rock scene that blends tradition with a modern, personal approach. Behind the name are two experienced, passionate musicians who have long been well-known figures in both the national and international country music scenes: Jolina Carl & Sievert Ahrend.
Jolina has a powerful, honest voice, and her guitar playing provides the musical foundation without any frills. With her blend of country, Americana, and a dash of rock, she delivers the right rhythm, the perfect beat, and plenty of emotion.
With his authentic backing vocals, Sievert provides the perfect musical complement, and as a multi-instrumentalist, he delivers that signature country sound: switching seamlessly between steel guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, and fiddle. His playing moves effortlessly between traditional bluegrass and creative arrangements that lend the songs depth and dynamism.
Mr. JoSie stands for handmade music with a focus on great songs, two-part harmonies, and genuine ensemble playing that respects the roots of traditional country music while forging its own unique path. We can provide sound equipment for an audience of about 150 persons.
It was a country festival in Wolcztyn, Poland. It was an amazing stage with a very big crowd that was so nice.
We love to play everywhere. Music festivals are amazing, but we like small venues as well where we can see how we touch people‘s hearts.
We are influenced by the traditional country music, but we like to adapt modern songs to traditional country.
We normally arrive two hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform from 60 minutes up to 3 hours maximum.
It‘s very nice to play outside, but it must be guaranteed that the technical equipment won‘t be destroyed in case of a storm or rain.
We are very flexible in our program. We talk to the organizer what audience he expects. Sometimes we play more traditonal country, but sometimes more mainstream like pop and rock with a touch of country. It depends on the audience. Nobody is happy when we play music nobody wants to hear.
