Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Performed at the Ryder cup In Scotland / Great British rock and blues festival (with Jeff Rich ex. Status Quo) @Butlins Skegness

What's your favourite type of event?

Big corporate parties, weddings and high profile events. Anything where you have a large audience and get them dancing. I love doing roaming gigs where you can go into the crowd and really get the party started!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Started when at high school. Played in orchestras, junior bands and put bands together myself. Won your stereotypical ‘battle of the bands’ and got recording time as the prize - I was hooked! Went to university and continued to perform and study. When leaving university stayed in Chester and put together my own function band in 2008 which I still play in to this day! This along other regular bands has been the last 17ish years of live experience. I have also done various theatre shows, bandeoke work and artist accompaniment.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Too many! But recently Luke Coombs - his lyric writing and melodies are insane! I was fortunate enough to see him live and the show was amazing! Country was a genre I hadn’t really listen to until around 5 years ago - so a great way of getting into new genre.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Minimum time for setup 1 hour prior to playing. Flexible for performance times depending on event times.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Outside no issue. Weather dependent - preferably some form of shelter (eg gazebo with sides to ensure electric items safe so on) Flat level surface required with adequate power

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Flexible based on song list or band in need of bass player/singer. Able to learn songs eg first dance but need to know in advance and based on song rehearsal required etc.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

High energy, great sound and kept the dance floor full all night.
