About / Biography

I first started learning piano when I was four, I now play seven different instruments, with piano, keys, and saxophone being my main loves. One of my earliest musical memories is seeing Carole King perform her ‘Tapestry’ album live in Hyde Park in 2016, when I was just seven years old. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to perform her classic track “It’s Too Late” live on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, and also at the famous “Bitter End Club” in New York—on the very same piano that Carole King played this timeless song on over 50 years ago.

Growing up in a musical family, I’ve always had access to instruments and vintage sounds on my dad’s much loved old 1963 juke box. I think this has helped me develop a deep musical knowledge beyond my years, which is a compliment I am often given. I love performing live and connecting with audiences, whether the crowd is big or small. My sets generally include timeless songs from artists like Billy Joel, Meat Loaf, and of course, Carole King, plus a selection of more recent hits too. I am always more than happy to discuss or learn specific songs of special meaning for any occasion.

I bring a full professional digital piano and sound system, high-quality backing tracks, stage lighting, and backdrop curtains when needed, to help create a complete and polished live experience.

Hyde Park was the only occasion when Carole King performed her legendary 1971 ‘Tapestry’album, in song order, as on the original vinyl - and 65000 fans, including Nicole, were there to witness it. This album was a huge success, winning four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and selling over 30 million copies worldwide. My dream, even then, was to perform that same album ‘live’, in the same way that she did, something that I am now so proud to offer .My show includes video projections to make it even more immersive for those who know, love, or are looking to discover one of the greatest collections of songs ever grouped together on one album.

If you’re interested in booking me or want to know more, please get in touch—I’d love to bring my music to your event.

ps I recently won my heat of the Greene King 'Untapped' Battle of the Bands competition.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

An area 2.5m x 2.5m for digital piano and PA System. Additional space for projector screen on one side, should my Carole King "Tapestry" show be requested. Suitable 13 amp power supply and parking space for i large SUV.

What information do you require about a venue?

As well as the address and Postcode, I need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to unload my equipment. I would like to know if there's a designated stage area and any lighting. I’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue."

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I'm completely self contained. I bring my own PA/ Sound System to all of my gigs as well as a simple lighting rig, background curtains and smoke, if required."

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I performed at the world famous "Bitter End Club" in Greenwich Village New York and played a classic Carole King song on the same grand piano that she performed it on, back in 1971

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing at all sorts of events and tailoring my sets / performances to what I believe will work best for that particular audience. There's no better feeling than seeing an audience sing along and/or dancing and generally having a great time to the music I'm providing.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been gigging for over four years, which also includes busking very successfully with my saxophone. Starting with Open Mic nights and moving on to several private events, weddings, pubs and clubs. I have also successfully staged several of my own "Tapestry" tribute shows. During this past year I recently completed my A-Levels where I obtained A's in both Music and Music Tech along with Maths and Chemistry

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Carole King, Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Meat Loaf. Carole King has to be my favourite as she wasn't just a great performer - along with her husband Gerry Goffin, she was truly one of the greatest pop singer/songwriters of all time.
Greatest song - "It's Too Late"

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I like to arrive a minimum of an hour before any regular performance, or two hours for when I perform my Carole King 'Tapestry' show. I have found that I am often asked to perform two sets x 45 mins each, but I'm always prepared to be flexible and happy to discuss client preferred performance times. My 'Tapestry show normally runs for two hours, including a 20 min break in the middle.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I'm happy to perform outside, provided there is always adequate protection for my piano and sound system from any possible rain. Naturally, I would expect a mains power supply to be readily available also.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are always welcome to choose any songs they may wish to from my song list and I'm always happy to learn any specific songs that are special to them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Most previous clients always seem so pleasantly surprised about my pop music knowledge and how I know so many classic songs from the 60's upwards. This is a quote from one of my genuine reviews - "This young lady went above and beyond and made the night so special. Nicole is a star in the making, I would definitely recommend you get in touch with her for all your party needs. Forget a DJ, and get Nicole. Cannot thank you enough for making the night amazing."
