My favorite type of event is a small concert as a gift to the clients. Ideally, after dinner, with the guests gathered around/ near the piano. As I don't play upbeat songs, my concerts invite to sing with me.
I am 55, I started as a background singer of a well known band in Portugal and toured all Portuguese speaking Countries with them. As a solo artist I released my first album in 2009 and toured Portugal. Over the last 20 years I have been the local artist of an Alternative Culture Centre in Lisbon, playing once a month with my own music, theme concerts and many invited artists. I am used to adapting to the event and to reinvent myself every time.
As a child my biggest influence was Kate Bush, later as a teenager Elisabeth Frazer from Cocteau Twins (Massive Attack) and until now I always listen to artists who show their heart and soul, as Sara Bareilles, Fiona Apple, Agnes Obel, London Grammar, Thom Yorke, Chris Cornell, Glen Hansard....
the Greatest song of all time doesn't exist - but it might be a song by Pink Floyd.
In my repertoire I sing some cover songs in French, Portuguese (Portugal), Italian and Spanish. Mainly, I sing English Pop ballades in a very personal way.
