Noa Alvarez is a sophisticated jazz vocalist based in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, who can bring a stylish and entertaining performance to any event, transporting the audience to a bygone era which can be brought to life through both the music and the costumes.
Performing with some of the best musicians in town, Noa is a regular on the London jazz scene, having performed in jazz clubs such as The Ronnie Scott's Bar, The Spice of Life, The Vortex, The Bull's Head, The Pheasantry, The Charlie Wrights, The Ram Jam Club etc. as well as at various jazz festivals, private clubs (The Savile Club-Mayfair, Eight Member's Club...) and iconic venues such as The Victoria and Albert Museum.
The repertoire covers standards from the Great American Songbook, paying homage to the Great Ladies of Jazz such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone... beautiful ballads and cheeky 1950s numbers, as well as latin bossa nova grooves, where she can draw inspiration from her Spanish roots.
Available for bookings for any event, from weddings to black tie dinners, private functions or any other special parties, Noa can perform as a duo with piano or guitar, trio (piano, double bass ) and quartet (piano, double bass, drums or trumpet / sax).
Many other set ups can be arranged too, depending on your event, from mellow background music to a swinging band to dance to.
Before your event you can expect prompt and clear communication and if requested, a meeting to discuss your event in person might be possible at no extra charge (Noa can meet in the Kingston area), or you are welcome tocontact with any queries you may have up until the day. On the day Noa and the band will always arrive promptly to set up so you can relax in the knowledge that everything is taken care of from the moment you book up until the end of your event.
