Hello!
I graduated from the RNCM in 2007 and currently live in Newton-le-Willows. I have always enjoyed a very active and varied freelance musical career, regularly performing with numerous professional orchestras and bands around the UK and Ireland. In 2012 I founded The Rondino String Quartet who have had played for thousands of weddings and functions across the UK. Rondino Strings also frequently perform at various venues in and around Liverpool for Candlelight Concerts.
I am also very much in demand as a recording artist, pit musician and freelance orchestral player. Solo performances have included the Bach E Major Violin Concerto, The Lark Ascending and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as well as several solo recitals. I am equally at home playing pop/rock, Ibiza classics as well as classical. I have performed alongside such artists as Rozalla, Heather Small, Alison Limerick and Rebecca Ferguson.
I offer both electric and acoustic amplified violin and I use the highest quality backing tracks.
All my equipment is fully PAT tested and I hold full Public Liability Insurance.

I started doing solo violin with backing tracks about 10 years ago but since giving up teaching for a full-time playing career, I have enjoyed the variety of travelling to new places, learning new music and each gig being different!

I am classically trained, but I love current pop, particularly Alex Warren. Growing up I loved Ibiza Classics and 80’s music.
I usually arrive 45 mins - 1 hour before the performance to set up and sound check, though I can be set up in as little as 15 mins.
For performances of longer than an hour I will need to take comfort breaks. I try to do this during natural pauses of the day where music would not be played e.g. speeches, group photos. If there is no natural pause I will play some appropriate background music through my PA.
Yes! I do not require power as my speaker has a battery so I am able to provide an amplified outdoor performance with no power.
I will need full cover to protect my equipment if there’s any chance of rain. If the weather is fine and the temperature is at least 17 degrees then a suitably shaded area is required.
I love learning new music so I’m equally happy for clients to choose their own, or if they want to leave it to me I can read the room and play appropriate music.
There may be a small charge to cover the cost of the purchase of sheet music and backing tracks if any of the requests are not easily available.
