I play mostly 80s, 90s, 2000s rock. Blues, and dabble in jazz jusion a little. At the age of 18 I bought my first drum kit. I played that from 1986 until 2005. Took a 15 year hiatus. I came back to drumming in 2020 and I've been able to gt mmy chops back pretty quickly.
I'm 60 years old but I feel like I'm 20 again whenever I get behind the kit. I have a TON of energy and LOVE playing drums!
= areas covered (up to 100 miles)
= free travel (up to 30 miles)
Too many to list.
I will use my 5 piece gigging kit as seen in the Ventura Highway video. I have a few different snares that can be used and they are tuned differently for different types of music.
Proper address to find the venue.
I do have an audio interface and some microphones and cables. All I would need is a place to connect it up to. I do not have an amplifier or sound system to bring with me to connect the interface to.
I can play pretty much anything from my genres.
The only gig I have ever done was when I sat in for a church band.
My gigs center around streaming live on Twitch.com and Kick.com. I usually play along to Spotify on those sessions.
As long as it's good ol' rock and roll, I can play with anyone.
This will actually be my first foray into doing live gigs but I am excited to do it and I will be totally professional at ANY gig I do.
Rush has been a huge influence on my strive to always get better. Neil Peart was a huge inspiration to me. One of the best things he ever did was relearn his instrument when he learned from Freddie Gruber. I've always admired how he did that and why he did that.
The song that I love to play along to most is Subdivisions by Rush. Such a well crafted song all the way around. I can only hope to play a gig with professional musicians such as them.
Since the 4th grade. Started with percussion in the 4th grade and all through middle school. I played in the jazz band in high school. I bought my first kit 18 months out of high school.
I can arrive at any time as long as I'm given prior notice ahead of time. I genuinely like to know the day before for anything I do. That way I can make sure that whatever I need I can have it ready to go at an appropriate time. I'd love to be able to warm up with the rest of the band just to make sure we're all on the same page. I can arrive as early as needed to setup and warm up.
I'm happy to play outside so long as it's in a shaded/covered area and away from any water if it rains. Drums and water... Not a great combination.
As long as it's something I can grasp on to quickly or something I already know, I have no problem playing whatever music people want to hear.
Haven't really had any clients but I get favorable reviews from people who watch me stream.
